Update on my Tigger...we had to say goodbye

You know I don't get to get on the DIS like I wish I could, I was so sorry to read your post. Sending many Prayer's. I had to put my 22 year old Siamese down a few years, the pain is terrible. They are part of our family..

I am so sorry for your loss! We had to make the same decision this month with our beloved Hunter. I know how difficult it is but take comfort in the fact that you did the best thing for Tigger that you could, given the circumstances.

so sorry for your loss. We had to make make the decision for our Lucy not long ago. We had her for 15 of her 16 years. Last year we did the same for our Bagheera. We only had him for 2 of his 10 years. Both were hard decision. On Tues we lost a 7week old kitten to a heart condition. I share this because ...No matter what their age or how long they have you it is never easy when you say goodbye. I always take comfort in knowiing that we did everything we could to make their lives the best we could while we were blessed with them. That best includes making the very hard decision of ending any suffering.
Be at peace with your decision. You did what any great pet parent would do. You made the right decision.

Luvwinnie, I am sorry you are going through the pain of losing a beloved pet. Pets become such a big part of our family. I have had both cats and dogs and have been through this myself. It's very painful to go through. I am sure you gave Tiggie lots of love and care and provided the setting for a wonderful life. My heart goes out to you.

The day we put our Ted down was one fo the two worst days of my life thus far.

The last act of love we can do for them is to let them go.

But it's hard to be left behind....
