Good luck to you. I want to have a tummy tuck someday too. Advice you can take or leave: make sure you get up and walk soon after, even if it hurts. It's important. You DR will probably make you but in case s/he forgets to tell you, do it anyway, or at least ask your DR if you can.
Good luck, Steph! You're beautiful now but afterward you'll be beautiful and have perky girls! I can't believe you have four kids. As soon as you're up to it let us know how you are!
Oh Steph! I know just how you feel. I was absolutely crazy the night before my breast aug. In fact, I was giddy right up to the minute they knocked me out!
It's nice to be EXCITED to go into surgery for a change, isn't it?
And remember should you--or any of you other ladies-- need any extra padding I am more than willing to donate my surplus flesh! don't push ladies, there is more than enough to go 'round!
Good luck and best luck to you! Judging by your photo, I'm sure you really don't need it. You look so great in your photo! Take care, and enjoy your rest! Keep us updated with your progress.
One more bit of advice! If it hurts like you-know-what when you get home, take those painkillers exactly as the doc tells you to. I was in some serious pain on the one side for about 2 weeks and that was WITH the drugs.
No matter what, I promise it DOES get better. Even though it may not seem like it will.
I remember you responding to a post I made a few weeks ago about my breast reduction and wanting to do a TT at the same time. I decided against it. The reduction is painfull enough but to have stitches all up and down and drains in multiple areas would have been to much. My DH was great with the drains morning and night. I was surprised. I took my pain meds on schedule but after getting sick and throwing them all up on day 3 I decided to forgoe all pain meds and deal with the pain. I am one week and one day post surgery and feel good. Tired, bored to death but I will not overdo it as that will cause me to hear slower.
Keep us posted on your recovery when you are able to access a computer. I know you will love the results. That is one great thing about PS. The results are almost immediate...
I was just saying to my DH that I wonder if this fall when I have my hysterectomy if they could really make it worth my wild and do a tummy tuck and a "lift" on the girls while I was in there. I have "twin skin" from my twins and horrible strech marks. That would make ithe hysto seem so much better.
You all are so awesome! Thanks for the laugh ilovepcot - I needed it! I'm so scared, but it's going to be totally worth it. Ok, off to take my valium so I can get some sleep - I'll post an update later!
