UPDATE on my Stepmom.....

We made it throught the holidays knowing that she had Breast cancer again in her right breast...She was sent to some great DRS at Duke University...Last Thurs Jan 16 they did a special MRI (don't know the name)...Dad and her were called back to Duke on Tuesday Jan 22.....On Wed Jan 23 they met with the Oncologist...They told her they scheduled her for a mastactomy on Thurs Jan 24 and that the cancer had spread to her bones; pelvic, spine, shoulders.....After recovery from the mastactomy she will be required to has radiation on the area of bones that they have found cancer cells in as well as weekly Chemo treatments.....

Talk to my dad today...she has gotten through the surgery ok and they plan on returning home on Friday if everything goes ok tonight.....My sister is planning on spending the weekend there and I had hoped to arrive Tuesday...but it isn't going to work for me for another 10-14 days.... . My stepmom is such a trouper and seems to be holding up OK (I'm sure things might change)....but my dad is a basket case.....I can't wait to get down there....
