Update on my grandma

The test results came back yesterday.
She has cancer in her leg (tumor), in her back and in her liver. She starts radiation on the tumor in her leg today.
She has to go for extensive heart tests next week to determine if her heart is strong enough for the chemo they want to do on her back and liver. If her heart is strong enough, they will put a port in her chest and administer the chemo there...we will know next week about her heart tests, which are mon and tues.

We just hope her heart is strong enough...we will see....just wanted to let you guys know and thank you for your kind thoughts last week...

Wow, Kamy, I am so, so sorry, I had no idea. My prayers are with your grandma and the rest of your family. My 11 year old niece is in the middle of chemo treatments, so I know the stress it puts on the family. {{{HUGS}}}

Thank you everyone....My grandma is so fiesty...she even told the doctor they could take her leg and she would be fine walking around on one! She is an amazing woman.

We lost my grandfather 12 years ago this month to cancer and it was not pretty...I just hope my family can stay strong for her. She needs to stay strong too...will is a powerful thing...

I appreciate being able to come here and share things...thanks for making me feel so comfortable doing that.

I will keep you all posted and than you for the prayers.

Your Grandma sounds like a fighter and she gives me inspiration. Tell her that she is inspiring other cancer fighters to begin and to keep on fighting!

I go to the oncologist this Friday and will know more then (hopefully).
