As most of you know, my dear friend Angel.. has cancer. He was told that he had tumors in his chest, during his chemo treatment with spinal cancer.
He is young, 32 years old.. with two kids...
Now this is wonderful. I got to see him and his wife and the kids last night at a church Christmas party.
He was looking really well, today was a good day! He was happy and smiling, but in his wheelchair. He was joking around... and having a blast.
His daughter and my daughter were playing all night long! He wa so excited to hear we are moving in next week. He was apologetic that he couldn't help us move in! Can you beleive that? My DH (who is always a kidder, and remember that we have known them for ten years!) was saying " Hey Angel we can put a ramp in the truck, and put boxes our your lap, and roll you fast into the house.... " The guys were laughing so hard with that visual....
His wife is doing so much better, and she is at peace that he will be leaving soon. I am amazed at her faith, strength and vigilance. I saw her and started crying... and she was "hey, if I'm not crying..you can be strong too.." She never once said a bitter word, or anger at the fact that her husband has cancer.... or dying.
The last thing I saw at the night was him in his wheelchair, daughter in his lap, leaving the party.. his daughter was looking up at him.. all glowing...
Just an encouraging update for you all.

It sounds like they have made peace and are truly enjoying their days together. A lesson for us all.
