They found out that she hadn't had a UTI after all, and instead DID have pneumonia! They said it's better now, and just to finish her antibiotics.

She got to come home from the hospital on Sunday. She's got some other problems going on, though. Her blood pressure went up (190/120-in a little 43-pound body!)while in the hospital, so she's now on medication for that. She's been under a lot of stress for a while now that seemed to come to a head while in the hospital. They are giving her some medication for that, also. She's been showing symptoms of IBS for several months now and missed a lot of work due to that (more stress!). She had a test yesterday on her gall bladder to see what's going on there. No results as yet. But at least she's home!

Thank you again, EVERYONE, for all the good thoughts, prayers, etc.!!

Oh goodness, Debbie. I'm glad she is well enough to be at home now. I know she still has a way to go before she is recovered but at least she is at home now. You know that has to help her feel better.

She is no longer having difficulty breathing? No wonder she was having trouble if she had pneumonia. Well, I suppose the silver lining of having pneumonia is that there are medications to clear up that sort of infection. You know I'm always looking for that silver lining ;)

Now, tell us about you. How are you doing? Are you still on plan and on schedule? If you are, you are stronger than me, I'm a stress eater. Having a daughter hospitalized far away from me would probably have caused me to stumble.

I hope you can visit us often, Debbie. I miss you when you aren't around. {{{HUGS}}} for you and for our Kaitlyn, I'll bet this has been rough on her too. Next time you speak with Hilary tell her that your WISH friends hope she is feeling better now :)

Thank-you for the update. I'm so glad she's home now, hospitals are so stressful. Giver her our best and take care of yourself.

Thanks for the update. Bless her heart! I will continue to keep you daughter in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you are coping well!!!!! We're here to hug you ANY time!!!

Debbie,
I can't imagine how tough it is to see a child go through health crises- it's so wonderful to hear the doctors are addressing everything and that she's able to go home- I bet that blood pressure will go way down after being home a bit- hospitals and testing always send mine up! I'll continue to send prayers and good thoughts your way.....thanks for keeping us updated!

Hi, I'm the daughter Cdoobee has been talking about! :) Thanks everyone, and I'm convinced all the pixie dust is contributing to my recovery! :earsgirl:

Well, it turns out my gall bladder has been the culprit all along. I have to have it removed. Ack.. surgery! :earseek: But, I just found out my insurance runs out before I thought it would (I'm not signing a new contract to teach next year), so I have to wait a bit. Grr.. at least I know what's wrong now. Plus, I plan to write freelance from home, which is way less stressful than teaching!

Thanks, again, everybody! (You, too, Mom!) ;)
