Update on John-Cole's first boy/girl party...

About 5 of the boys just ran in my house grabbing sheets and asking for John's hunting make up. I said "what in the world are yall doing?"

Turns out the boys are making a Haunted House and the girls can't go through the Haunted House until they are finished....LOL!

Yep Michelle,

Its black and green stuff...thicker than girls makeup....Its kind of like baseball players wear under their eyes to keep the sun out except there is the dark green and pukey looking yellow in there too. Its really good Zombie make up I guess.....LOL!

I bet they are having a blast. Now if Tisha is smart she will make them clean it up before the party is over.

When my kids have their friends, they get the sheets out and take them downstairs to make a fort. Takes me forever to dismantle everything and clean up.

Gosh these posts are bringing back memories! Summer time, first boy/girl parties, staying outside late at night, enjoying life!

When I was JC's age, we'd have boy/girl parties and slow dance. The couple would hold onto each other's waist, kindof do this step sideways, step back thing and go around and around and around in circles. It was very romantic, or so we thought! LOL! The big song of the night and the summer was "Crimsom and Clover". We girls would melt!

Oh Maggie it brings back memories for me as well. There "may" be slow dancing...I don't know....I'm still doubting it since J.C. wouldn't even sit by his girlfriend at the carnival. I think maybe in another year though.

I remember when we were about 15 or 16 we had a friend whos grandfather lived in a Haunted House in the country. Her mom and dad let all of our church youth group come over and spend the night in that house. Believe me we didn't have to do anything to scare each other, that house alone did it. I can remember the grandfather lived on the bottom floor only and the 2nd and 3rd story were empty. One of my friends and I were walking around on the second floor and it was completly dark....one of our other friends lit a match and I swear we were ready to bolt from the house into the fields. It was sooo much fun!
