Wow...I am emotionally exhausted! You have a tough road ahead of you. I am sorry you have gotten so many conflicting opinions. (a polyp that smells like cancer??). The fibroids are trouble alone. The previa is trouble alone. The 2 together will be challenging. I did 9 weeks of head down bedrest with child #2 and 20 weeks of bedrest with child #3. Rent movies, buy books and puzzles, and when she can no longer do those let her yell if she fells like it. Remember to say "yes dear" a lot, allow her hot fudge sundaes when she wants them and never warn they will "make her fat". And if you wind up on hospital bedrest, know that it is safest, and I suspect is inevitable at some point. My prayers and best wishes are with you. Feel free to PM me anytime.

You have deeply touched literally hundreds of people who you have never seen or met, and although we come from places all over the globe, we are all right there beside you in spirit, and we will all rejoice with you when you welcome your precious daughter into the world.

Pat, what a terrifying experience. I think of you guys so often and have been awaiting an update. Thanks so much for that, and I'm just so sorry that you had to go through such terror. We will keep hoping that things will be looking up.

You've just found out one of the first lessons in parenting, you'll do ANYTHING for those kids, and Amy will do fine doing "nothing", she's GOT TO!!!! ;~D I did two months and I don't even remember it much anymore. (Probably because I'm now 49, that "baby" is 18 and I'm getting a little forgetful!!!! ;~D Kimberly is one lucky little angel with two great parents. Will continue to keep you in my thoughts and will look through my Disney photos once that "baby" of mine graduates Friday and things settle down. Take care.

Dear Folks,

I'm moving my comments to the community board. The moderators here have shown me a wonderful amount of caring restraint and leniency. I used this high-traffic area to help me get some support at a rough moment. I'm trying to get back to normal, and normally, I follow rules.

I've got an update on Amy's condition, and several comments for all of you. I look forward to hearing more, receiving letters, and begining to pick the brains of those families that have been through this. Special thanks to Pete, Cathy, and the Flower Fairy. I hope to continue to contribute to the planning board. After all, the next best thing to going is helping someone else go.

I'm too tired to be fancy tonight. So this simple statement comes from the heart. You guys are beautiful.

Dear Pat, I have been a lurker for a long time but i have always enjoyed reading your posts. I just had to come out now to tell you that you, your wife and precious baby are in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care of yourself and keep us posted when you can. Sending lots of pixie dust Kim.

Prayers & pixie dust to you & your family. These boards were a blessing to me after my mother was diagnosed with cancer, during her illness and upon her death. You hang in there. This too will pass.

Special prayers to all of you during this time - there is nothing more frightening in the world than the unknown and although we can say "Trust God" - it's even harder to do it!

IN 1980, I delivered our son at 28 weeks gestation, after months of complications and hemorrhaging - he weighed in at 2lbs 13 1/2 ounces and only needed an oxygen hood for a few days. Today at age 23, he's intelligent and healthy - even ran the Chicago Marathon!
I tell you this only because there have been so many advancements in medicine since that time, that the longer you can maintain your pregnancy - even if it means hospitalization, the chances of a healthy daughter are definitely in your favor!

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Amazing miracles happen everyday! Just need to keep that little girl in for as long as she can! I had a breech baby and c-section too. He is five now, and on his way to his Second disney trip. A card is on its way.
