Update on DS's lunch...

Daddy is home from work and tells me I left DS's lunch bag on the coffee table. There is a tuna sandwich in there! Good thing it didn't get too hot today (we don't leave the air on when we're not home).

Meanwhile, DS had a grand lunch that cost his mother mucho $$$. First, we went to the supermarket so I could hit the ATM. There, we bought fruit snacks for afternoon snack (well, they were buy one-get one free).

Next, we went to Target to look for a zippered pencil pouch that he needs for school. He wound up getting a deck of Pokemon cards there.

Last, we went to McDonald's for a Happy Meal, which he enjoyed. He kept coming around the table to hug and kiss me. I think he was quite thrilled to be with his mom for lunch. He got a little upset about going back as we were leaving Mickey D's, but cheered up big time when we got back to camp and saw they were doing a hula hoop contest. He can hula with the best of them!

All in all, I'd say things worked out well for him.

It turned out great. You and DS got to spend the lunch hour together. Doesn't get much better than that. The heck with tuna fish.
