Update on DS's CT Scan..RESULTS!!!

My son had his CT sinus scan this morning.
I used some of the suggestions you all gave me to prepare him & he did wonderfully!!! The person doing the scan asked if he had done this before. He did so good!

The doctor is suppose to call me next week with the results, but we will be in WDW until June 18th.
I think I will leave a message at the doctor's office & leaving my cell phone number & she can call on there. Most likely she will have to leave a message though since I rarely have it on!

Anyway, just want to say a big Thank you for all your suggestions & well wishes, they really worked!

Actually we are all ready packed! The only thing we have left to put in the carry on is Jackson's asthma medicine, which I will do that tomorrow.
We are ready to go!
We are leaving tomorrow to stay at a hotel near the airport otherwise we would have to get up at 2am on Saturday just to make it to the airport on time.

We are so looking forward to this trip!!!!

I think the donut hole tunnel did.
When he saw the machine he turned to me & said "You are right mom, it does look like a donut!"

The doctor called me earlier this morning. I was surprised to hear from her so quickly, but she said she saw I was leaving town & wanted to get ahold of me before I left.

Anyway, DS's CT scan turned out COMPLETELY NORMAL!!!!!
It is not showing why he keeps getting sinus infections.
The doctor said what could be going on is his allergy medicine might not be working as it should, resulting in his allergies acting up & then turning into a sinus infection.
Or maybe it took a full 20 days on Augmentin to clear it up 100%.

She is not sure right now. She told me to have a nice trip & if anything comes up while we are gone I am suppose to call her.
She also wants me to call her when we get back & let her know how he did.

If he develops a sinus infection again in a short time, she may be wanting to switch his allergy medicine & if that doesn't work, we may be looking at shots down the road. She said she prefers not going to shots right away without trying other things first. I agree....especially how much DS HATES ANY kind of needle!!!!

Anyway, well...at least I got the results before we left. I was kind of hoping it was tell us why he keeps getting sinus infections, but at least he doesn't need surgery!

This time tomorrow we will be in THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the great news and the update. I'm glad that he thought the CT looked like a big donut and that he did great. Prayers that his sinus conditon will not reoccur.
