A couple of weeks ago I posted that DH got word he was on a list to be deployed to Iraq with the OR Nat'l Guard. Well, he talked with someone about it last night ( we were tired of waiting around to hear osmething) and he found out that his commander blocked him form being activated with another unit because he wants DH to be available to go with his own unit somewhere this next year. So, no Iraq for DH right now! 
We know his unit is slated to go "Somewhere" this next year; right now they are slated for Afghanistan, but the rumors persist it may be somewhere else, or sooner rather than later. But for now, he isn't going anywhere until September 2005; and by then my parents should at least be up here in Oregon permanently (they live in CA right now, but have bought a 2nd home up here) so I will have some family support should he have to go then.
Thank you so much everyone, for your kind words and pm's expressing support. It sure meant a lot to me! And prayers to all those families here on the boards who have spouses or family members over there right now.
