Update on Allyson (picture)

I know many of you have been following Allyson's (my niece) year long battle with cancer and just wanted to add some more happy news and share a picture with you. A couple of weeks ago Allyson was finally healthy enough to take her Make-A-Wish trip and here is a picture of her from her adventure.

Allyson, her mom, her dad and her best friend went to Discovery Cove so she could swim with the dolphins. All through her treatments she was looking forward to the day when she was healthy enough to tell the dolphins she was well, and thank God she is. Allyson has spent this summer making up for the year she was in and out of the hospital and enjoying being a 12 year old girl. This trip was the first time she went out in public without her scarf or a hat and I think she looks wonderful. I spoke with her last night and she is doing well and looking forward to starting school on Thursday. She still has to go to NYC every few months for scans, but she looks wonderful and is doing fine.
