My DD took him up to the lake last night and she was pretty excited about having him there for the weekend..

Well - if you read my previous post, he suffers from breathing problems like my current DH, had a massive heart attack 2 months ago, had a pacemaker put it in (but it's not working) and they're going to put him on a heart donor transplant list..

He started having problems up there at 3 o'clock this morning - bad dizzy spells - and then started passing out.. He's in the hospital now and they can't seem to regulate his blood pressure - it's VERY low..

Granted - he was a scoundrel over the years when it came to the kids and he was a lousy husband - BUT he's still the father of my children and he's always been a pretty nice guy aside from the other issues..

I wish him no harm and he's too young to die.. So, if you have a spare prayer lying around I would appreciate it - as would my DD..

*****UPDATE*****Sunday 8/8

Ex is home from the hospital.. He has to see both the heart and the lung doctor early this week..

They will try changing some of the heart meds to see if that helps any.. However, he's probably going to have to give in and go on oxygen 24/7.. He's been fighting that for almost a year now and surely struggling to breath is making his heart condition that much worse..

Thank you all for your prayers.. He was able to pull through this latest crisis and hopefully will continue to remain stable..

C. Ann, you are a wonderful person.

I just said a prayer for him.

"Dear Lord I lift up C. Ann's ex-husband. Please heal him from the breathing problems, let his heart return to normal, let him find his strength again. Be with his children during this stressful time. Thank you for C. Ann willing to put past hurts behind to pray for him. Help her find the right things to say to comfort her family. In your mighty name we pray. Amen"

No - I'm not "wonderful", Laurie.. The honest-to-goodness truth is that he is - and was - a VERY nice man - just not good husband/father material - and even in my angriest moments, I have never wished him any harm..

I may have jokingly said I would like to rip his heart out and stomp on it, but I didn't mean it and I truly want him to get well..

I swear - if you met him, you would definitely like him.. He's quiet, polite, and basically sweet - but would have been much better off had he never married and had children..

Anyhow, thanks for the prayer..

I stand by what I said. You are a wonderful person. This is just one example of it.

And I know about the type that should have been on their own for a time before settling down and having kids. Mine was/is exactly like that. He was a good person, just not a good husband or father. At least to me and our kids.
I think it's very nice of you to ask for prayers for him.

Prayers for your ex-DH, C.Ann. I hope all turns out well.

I agree, and I think I read about 3 reasons in this thread alone why you are. ;)

Prayers for your ex, C.Ann, as well as your DD, DGD, and yourself.

Anything for you, C. Ann. Prayers for your whole family and ex-hubby. I hope he pulls through with flying colors.
