UPDATE: My National Rate Continues to drop

I just went to print my coupon for the Vacation Outlet coupon. I noticed it said that it can not be used with other discounts. I reserved a car at National using 10008198 code but also with the priceless vacations code 6600330. It accepted it, but like I said, I noticed on the paper it said you can't combine it.

Will they say something at the counter? SHould I change my ressies to take the 10008198 code out?

Nope, National is about the only car rental agency that will accept coupons with different codes. Don't worry about it.

Thanks Gail. I knew that National you could combine codes, but since one of the companies specifically said you couldn't, I wasn't sure if National adherred to it or not.

Monday Morning--new week and my rate dropped again this morning. I've redone my ressies, saving another $10. So folks, again you need to recheck your ressies to see if there is more money to save.

OK, this is getting weird. I just checked the rates for my friend and now they are down another $5. SSSOOO I went back and changed my rates again. Last week I started with $299 for 11 days, EA, intermediate. Today I'm down to $228....that is my TOTAL, including all taxes and fees. I'm excited.

It seems that no matter what I try, I can't get my minivan rate to go down. Seems like it's stuck. Would love to hear what codes anyone used that got a minivan rate to go down!

Thanks to the information here I have been able to lower my rate twice for my May trip. Thank You! However, I can't seem to get the online cancel screen to work. It keeps coming back that I can't leave it blank eventhough I have filled it in completely.

Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

I have searched hi and low for the "old" disney club code. I dug up my paperwork from my December rental, but the paperwork doesn't print the entered codes. I swear I was a member until its December 03 demise. Would someone be willing to PM the "old" code that still works? Much Thanks!

3PRINCESSMOM, I am wondering why you want to use a code that is or may be no longer good. There are so many good codes on mousesavers to choose from, along with some great coupons.

dijid, I'm sorry that the new lower rates are not affecting your rental.

I also had trouble deleting some of my older ressies today too. I logged out and got back in and it worked. I guess there are some changes coming and National is working on their site.

I log in EVERYDAY to check for a new lower rate and it seems to be happening every day (twice today). My rate has dropped $75 in the past 7 days!

I surely never expected it to drop again. 8 days/intermediate, ofr $158.00 including taxes!!

By the way, I got my new card and booklet from National, and I like that we will be able to skip the counter for any size car when we make new ressies after April 19!! And earn points toward rentals!!

Whoo! Mine dropped again too...

8 Days, 5/14-22, EA Intermediate down to 157.96 w/Priceless Vacation contract code and Entertainment Book $20 off.

Their website was kind of flinchy when it came to view/modify/cancel but was finally able to see the new ressie and then go and cancel the old.

I can't believe it will drop any more but will keep checking!

We were always able to skip the counter for any rental except those that used an upgrade coupon. Are you saying that we can skip the counter with those also?
