Has anyone seen these new Airwalks at Payless:

http://www.payless.com/Catalog/Prod...t&Popularity=282&DescriptiveColor=Blue/Yellow

Our stores don't have them in stock and I am interested to know if they look good for the waterparks. One thing we hate about traditional watershoes is they take so long to dry and often we have to put them in ziplock bags and pack them only to come home to very stinky shoes. I thought about wearing my regular Airwalks/Crocs (the clog style), but I'm afraid they will fall off. Has anyone worn them at BB or TL? How did they work?

These look good, but I wish I could see them in person. Anyone have these or seen them?
Thanks,
DJ

I updated a post with my experience with Payless.com in post #22.

Well, I've never tried Crocs or Airwalks but those look pretty cool and they look secure. Couldn't hurt, could it? You could always use them for the beach, lakes, etc.

They look like they'd be ok. I always wear a pair of Teva sandals at the water parks. A cheaper pair like the hurricane is great for this. They dry pretty quickly too. I agree about not liking the way most water shoes feel.

I would order them for DH and myself if I was more confident about the sizing. I wonder if they are sized like the other Airwalk (where you actually end up with a smaller size than your real size), or if they are sized properly.

Oh well, something to think about. They aren't that costly and there is a $5 coupon that you can use for orders of $25 or more and if you order $40 worth you are suppose to get free shipping........decisions, decisions :goodvibes .

I am the proud owner of that exact pair of Airwalks. I love them and plan to wear them at WDW next month. As for sizing, I wear a size 8 and the size 7 fit me just right. They didn't have a size 7 in black for women but was assured by the clerk that a man's size 5 was the same and it must be. They were a little snug across the back so I took the advice I had seen on these boards and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes and then pulled them on over thick socks. It really works.

Sounds like we are about the same shoe size. I have a size 7 Airwalk in the Clogs, so I should probably get that size for these.

Are these 'soft' like the regular Airwalks? I don't want to wear hard plastic. If they are soft like the regular ones, they would probably be great for the parks.

Did your Payless Store have them? I wonder why ours doesn't. We may have to drive to Indianapolis this weekend in search of these :teeth: .

Yes they are soft like the clogs. I also have a pair of clogs and I like these better. I got mine at Payless in Amarillo Texas. They had several different styles - buy one pair and get half off a second pair - which is why I got the clogs but seldom wear them.

I saw them on the Payless website and thought they looked cute so I went to the store to see them in person, they looked hideous! Made my feet look like clown feet.

I couldn't get to the link either, but I have a pair (2 actually) of Airwalks and they are exactly like Crocs only cheaper. Don't even CONSIDER the WalMart or Target brand because they are just hard plastic and nothing like the Crocs or Airwalks. I plan to wear my Airwalks to the parks, but I am taking regular beach/water shoes/aqua shoes (whatever you call them) to Typhoon Lagoon. I just think they would work better in the water.

These ones don't look like the clog types, they are new. We just got back from Payless and got some for my DH. They don't have them for the women, but they have them for the kids and I could actually fit into the size 5 men's.

I wish you could see them on the link, because they are neat. I also have the traditional Airwalks that are like the clog type Crocs and like them. We just bought the girls the new Tye-Dyed ones at Payless. One got rainbow and the other got a pink and blue tye-dyed. They wore them to school today and got a LOT of attention. We got the last pair at our store last night. They actually have a waiting list going for certain sizes (lucky they had size 5 for my DD--but that was the last pair).

Maybe go to the payless.com website and then click on Women's or Men's or Girl's or whatever shoes you want. Then got to the Brand selection and choose Airwalk. From there you can see these new style of Airwalks. They don't have the Rainbow tye-dyed ones out there, but under the Girls they have a Pink or Green Tye-dyed so you can get an idea of what they look like. They are really cool!

I have a pair that must look like crocs because someone said "oooh I love your crocs, mine are sooo comfy" I was like "huh?" She had no idea she was talking about the shoes I got half price at a buy one get one half off for like 3-4 bucks. I originally bought them for taking the dog potty because I figured if it was dark and I took a wrong step, well, they could be hosed off. They are very comfy and I think they look cute too. I think I'll get a funky color for our Disney trip. The cool thing about them is even if you wear them with the heel part flipped up to the front so they are like mules, they don't just fall off, they stay with your feet.

Their website appears to be done, not sure for how long as the page I reached at payless.com said they have temporarily closed their store!

I just ordered our Airwalk Connect Casual shoes last night and got a message this morning that they are ready to ship. They aren't offering the Buy One get One Half Off, but they do have a $5 coupon online you can use and if you buy $40 worth of shoes you get free shipping (and shipping is always free to their stores if you want to have it shipped there--at least that is my understanding). I ordered a pair for me and both of my DDs. We are going to Blizzard Beach in 7 weeks, so we are going to try them out there. I hope they work out for us. The other water shoes just took too long to dry out, and the regular clog style Croc/Airwalks seem like they could fall off in the lazy river or other attractions.

I'm not sure what is going on with the website, I just went over and they are down (as was mentioned). Maybe it will be back up later today.

But if you want to check with you local Payless to see if they have these, they are called:

Airwalk Connect Casual
The Men's version is Lot Number: 044788 (Black)
The Women's version is Lot Number: 044788 (blue) and 044834 (orange)
The Girl's version is Lot Number: 046439 (Pink)

I called around and found a Payless that had the Men's and Girl's version (didn't have the Women's so that is why I ordered online, although I would have bought the Men's in black and would have been fine with those and they did have them in my size, but my DD wanted the orange in Women's so to get a total of $40 for our order for free shipping, I ordered all of ours online).

Anyway, you could call and check at your local Payless with those lot numbers and see if any of them have them. I tried on the Men's black ones in my size and I think they are going to work very nicely. DH really liked them too.

I don't know what they are doing today on the Payless Site, but I just got confirmation that they shipped my order, and in the confirmation were small pictures of these shoes. I went ahead and saved a copy of the orange ones and hopefully you will get an idea of what I was talking about here:

Maybe the site will be back up tomorrow.

Those are the exact ones I got for my husband and my boys. I got the black/blue ones for my DH and DS10 and the navy/yellow ones for my DS8. They said they are super comfortable! I loved the orange ones, but I don't have anything to wear them with. :confused3

I am wearing mine now! I have both styles...this new style has more arch support and I like how it stays on your foot instead of the loose fit of the Croc Airwalks. I am still trying to decide if they will look okay with capri's at WDW though! I've been wearing them on our evening walks with success. I wear a womans size 5...I had to get the kids size 4 in both styles.

I ordered blue for me:

Pink for one DD:

And then the orange for my other DD:

I don' t have a picture of the black ones because we got them at the store for DH. I almost got the black for myself, but decided to go with the blue so we each have a different color.

I should have mine by next week and will go for walks in the evening to see how I do in them. I am taking them to WDW in June and will use them at Blizzard Beach for sure, but I am not so sure about the parks.
