Well I heard from him this morning but I have no been around to post. I was SO happy to hear from him as I frantically tried to get in touch with him yesterday and found out that both of his #'s had been changed and he forgot to tell me-WHICH HE WILL PAY DEARLY FOR!!! LOL-we stay in touch mostly by email and when he was not responding I knew he must not be working!!
Anyways, he lives pretty much right behind MK(yup, he can see the fireworks from his balcony and hear the crowds!!!). He said he was watching the whole storm hit and saw the HUGE transformer(you know the one at the gate with the Mickey ears?)explode!! He said it looked like the beginning of a nuclear war!! VERY SCARY!! He could see fire and actually hear the electrical wires sizzling. What a mess. He said around 1:30 a.m. he could hear the clean up crews already hard at work in MK!!!
He had almost taken his family to his Mom's house in the eastern part of Orlando and decided against it. He told me today that a tornado actually hit her house-well ripped through her backyard splitting a tree in half which landed right on her house!!! She is O.K. though-thank god!!
He is safe which is the important thing and believes that "Walt's spirit" was their saving grace!!
