Update age on MDE

Silly question, probably...

I just went to put a deposit on our April trip (yay) and it has my daughters saved as ages 3 and 4. It didn't match up because I listed them as ages 4 and 5 (they each have a bday this month and that's how old they will be when we go).

It gives me the option to update, and I did. However, was that the right thing to do? I don't remember if I originally put in their birthdate when I made my MDE accoun? Once their birthdays pass, will it automatically age them another year, so they show up as 5 and 6 for our trip? Or is it ok/good that I updated it?

I know it doesn't matter for anything this trip, but in the future as they get older and become Disney "adults" it will!

You can try to make changes, if you'd like.
But, I'd not worry about it.

Wait and see what actually happens.
If there's a problem, you can address it at that time.

When I entered DGD and her birthday in my MDE she was 5. Whenever I reviewed ADRs etc. for the trip she was listed as 5, even though she'd be 6 by then. But after her birthday, MDE updated her age to 6 automatically.
