I think one point that the OP and owner might be missing is that emails could have gone astray. The owner may have very well tried to contact the OP and received no response. Email is not an infallible mode of communication.

I was glad that the owner took the time to post as the OP did impugn his character in the original postings as to possible shady dealings. The OP was within her right to state her version of events, just as the owner was within his. Posting edits of emails will not convince most readers as to the veracity of either claim. The anonymous readers of this thread will never know the whole story, but to be quite honest if you throw a "grenade" in a room and leave for month, readers will form their own opinions.

I originally posted a reply to his post but now have decided there really is no need to defend myself against such horrible lies.

The only word that comes to mind right now is "KARMA".

What a shame it had to come down to this. I was trying to help out other future renters and for some reason I have turned out to be the bad guy. I am sorry Clive that I asked you too many questions. I really did not know there was a set rule.

They say everything happens for a reason and I truly believe that!!

I am sorry but I cannot let this one go. I was looking at previous posts where everyone assumes I ignored his request for the final payment. He never asked me for a final payment, PERIOD!! I would have gladly sent the payment. We loved his villa! He is using that as an excuse for what he did to me. Shame on you!!! KARMA!!!

Just the fact that you bumped this up after it had been inactive for so long, tells me that you have an axe to grind which is why I quoted the homeowner's entire response to your allegations in my first reply.
