Upd: Timeshare with a great pool area?

Ok, which is the best water play/pool area - Bonnet Creek, Marriott Harbour Lake, Reunion's water park or Sheraton Vistana with the pirate ship (I think that is villages? The one on I Drive)

We are going on the WBPC DCL cruise, but I have family in Orlando and will be down with the kids for 2-3 weeks beforehand. I'm looking for a timeshare (because they tend to be cheaper than a hotel and they have a kitchen) with a nice pool area for less than $1000/wk. Am I limited only to Bonnet Creek?

Oh, and to make things more difficult, I need it for April... which of course is Easter/Spring Break season.

Others I was considering were Reunion Resort. I really liked the looks of Marriott Harbour Lake but I think it's out of my price range. I have younger kids so splash park type stuff is a major plus. I've also heard Orange Lake is good. We will have a rental car and actually will not be going to WDW (no worries, we will have DL APs and be hitting the parks on the other end of the cruise!)

If you have any ideas or places to look to get the best deal or maybe other places I haven't considered, that would be awesome.

I should add, my family lives mostly closer to Altamonte, so if there is something I drive or more towards that area, that would work too.

Check out the Sheraton Vistana (Resort OR Villages). Can be had for that price range at times, but maybe not if you are right on the holiday weekend. Both have multiple pool options (7 at Resort, 3 at Villages).

Silver Lake Resort gets pretty good reviews, and is a bit quieter/smaller than some of the bigger chains. It is very close to Orange Lake.

Any one of the Hilton Grand Vacation clubs are worth it too, but they would be a steal if you could get it in your price range.

I haven't bought tickets yet, so I can plan to come after the holiday weekend. Waiting for Southwest to open up the fares. I will check out Vistana and the Grand Vacations!

OP, I haven't stayed there myself but have read numerous times that not all of the rental properties at Reunion have water park rights. So you'll want to make sure on that issue if you decide to rent there.

We stayed a week at WBC this past spring break and really enjoyed it. If something else doesn't work out for you I think you'd like it.

I would say Harbour lake. They have the pirate ship with slides and also an entire splash play area with. Ickes that dump and other things that shoot water. They also have a bigger slide at the pool. The two pools are just across the street from each other so it's very quick and easy to pool hop.

There is a bit of difference in the feel of the two Vistana's. The older and much bigger V-Resort is more spread out, has bigger units in older sections, and a few more amenities. Note when I say older, I don't mean run down. The whole resort got a makeover a couple of years ago, and the units are stunning. The V-Villages are newer, taller (generally 4-5 story) buildings with elevators. It is a bit more densely packed, but that does leave pretty much everything closer at hand.

Both resorts have pools with waterfalls that will be great fun for your 11 and 13 yo - at least my two preferred it at that age. Your youngest would probably better appreciate the pirate ship at the Villages; the Resort doesn't have a water feature quite like that. Just a single fairly small water slide at the Falls section pool.

Since you were considering Harbour Lake initially, I'd say yes go for Vistana Villages. The bonus that you get with VV is that IMO the villas are nicer than those at Harbour Lake. We like the size and condition of the villas in the Key West section at the back of the resort but the St. Augustine section - where the Galleon Ship is located - is the newest at the resort, having been the last to be built from the ground up.

Oops! That's a game changer. Sorry, most people put the ages, but putting the years makes a lot of sense. You don't have to update your siggie every time one has a birthday!

So yes, the VV pirate ship would be great.
