upcoming trip, need to vent

I'm so pleased you got your flights sorted. Well done! :thumbsup2

Have you posted on the Theme Parks Board re. the MNSSHP tickets? It's probably slipped down a vast number of pages now, but everyone who booked party tickets for that particular date had problems. I wasn't watching the thread at the time and hadn't seen your post so unfortunately don't know what the outcome was for the other frustrated guests. It was a systems error however and as far as we know, it affected everyone who purchased tickets for that one date on the day the tix were released on sale.

That would have been the 23rd then, as both Chmurg and I booked for the 23rd and had tickets showing the 26th.

I don't understand why they haven't sorted it yet. It only took a couple of emails to get the tickets sent to me free of charge instead of an e ticket (which would have been my first choice if it had been free).

Which email did you send it to? I replied to the email they sent to me, and the first time I replied to the confirmation email of the 23rd. I'm not sure which one triggered a reply but within a few days my tickets were in my hand with the correct date on them.

update :
you thought I had the flights sorted ... think again

I received my new etickets with new itinerary

turns out that my TA did not choose the flights we had agreed upon over the phone.
I checked with her by flight number and schedule, and we validated the change. Still my MCO-PHL flight is not the right one, it even makes for an invalid connection.

Emailed my TA as soon as I noticed, telling them that they did not correctly change my flight
Got an email this morning : your ticket has been confirmed, please note that your fare does not allow changes, if you wish to change it will be treated as a cancellation with a 90% penalty

I no longer have a flight back, and if I want to make things right I need to pay for new tickets.

Here is a 40 year old, 250lbs daddy weeping over his keyboard. I'm glad I can vent a little on the DIS ...

Don't panic, it's not a change, it's an error on your TA's part. She needs to sort it asap with no extra charge, I would even demand something extra for the **** up!

Wow - I feel your pain :(

A little pixiedust: to help you through it all - who knew booking a holiday could be so frustrating!!

update to keep you posted.

MNSSHP tickets.
I finally received them through FeDex this morning. Speedy delivery, less than 2 days from Florida to my hometown in France.
That's one issue solved.

We were called by Anya from WDW for other matters. She was very nice and helpful. She kind of brightened up day on sunday evening

Last but not least, my TA won't do anything to help me.
I have proof that I made flight choices in writing through email. But the final decision was made over the phone, and there is no way I can prove my point.
I have 2 solutions.
1) let it go
2) sue them, hoping that they, on their side, have a recording of the phone call, and that they will be forced to produce it.
I cannot cancel this order, because I would lose any right to a compensation. And if I don't cancel, I can't book other flights for the same date as it might cause "security issues" (I was told it wasn't good to be booked on 2 flights at the same time).
And in any event, a lawyer would cost me more than I could hope to recover from the TA, IF I recover anything at all.
My TA knows that, slow as the courts are in France, there is no chance whatsoever that my case be adressed before 2013, so long after my trip.

Now I just need to pray that everything runs smoothly at PHL when we come back from Orlando.
I'm still furious but I'll need to get over it. There is not much I can do, and that makes me even more furious ...
I'll just close the case, as I do not have the willpower to engage in a lengthy law battle.
One thing is for sure, next time I won't book through them, even if it means paying a premium

Thanks for all your support.

What a complete nightmare for you both.i really hope you TA gets their act togeather.Really not good customer service. Really does put a damper on things when you pay for the privelidge and they do not want to know. I hope it all gets sorted for you.:wizard:
