Upcoming trip for May 16 - 27

I don't usually do this very often, but, for those that are interested, I'm taking a whopping ten day trip to the World from May 16th to May 27th. This is going to be my second solo trip, so I've got a little (if not a lot) experience behind this solo thing. Among the highlights include visiting the Deluxe resorts, Star Wars Weekends, visiting one of the water parks, and the rest being park touring and relaxation.

I'll be at the Pop Century resort and I'm hoping to be in the 80s section (seeing as that was the decade of my childhood XD). Still gotta get with my travel agent to see if I've been confirmed for a room in that area as I booked back in August.

Anyway, I'd just throw this out there in case anyone wished to look. One thing I hope to take away from this trip is the chance to make some new friends at the World so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I will indeed! I just signed up for a TWITter accountand plan on using that as a log of my upcoming trip. Hopefully it will be entertaining as well as informative for those that might follow.

Hopefully there are some folks here that plan on going during Star Wars Weekends (at least) and I certainly like to be involved with some meet ups in the future. Here's hoping!

Hey guys, going to be in HS on Saturday May 19th in the afternoon/evening. I have and ADR for Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano at 3:40 if anyone is interested in joining me? I sure it would be easy to make the reservation for 2 or 3 instead of one...It is also a Fantasmic! reservation, so you get reserved seating for Fantasmic! that night.

I did my first Star Wars weekend last May! It was a great time.

This year, I decided (literally 2 days ago! lol) to go down in early May. I've stayed at Pop a few times and always enjoyed it, but 10 days! Wow. You'll have plenty of time to do whatever you wanted!!!

I'm going down May 19-21. Even though it's SWW, I want to see Fantasmic since it wasn't showing in January! Also plan on hitting up at least one Micky Dolenz show that weekend. I was born in '80, but love the Monkees & wanted to see Micky honor his friend as he fills in for Davy.

I'm thinking about making my first solo trip (eek!!) around that time as well! I'm trying to convince a friend to join me, but he tends to be kind of flaky, so I think I'm on my own. Maybe we'll run into each other somewhere along the way!

Awesome! Whenever, I'm away on vacation, I'm ALWAYS eager to meet new people. I'm heading to Epcot to take in some photos from the Flower and Garden Festival followed by some downtime at Downtown Disney. I won't be heading for SWW until Saturday, so I'm eager to a get-together during that time..
