A word about older iphones (and ipods), we brought my old iphone 4 for my daughter to use, but we ended up not being able to use it once we got onboard. We had the app downloaded before we went. But once we got onboard, we discovered to use the texting app, your device had to be updated to at least 7 iOS (if I remember right). The old phone couldn't be updated to that, so we couldn't use it.

Thank you for that note, we're letting DS10 take my old iphone 4S (no dataplan) to use the navigator app onboard. I'm updating the iOS now, and it looks like it's 9.something so I think we may be okay.
