spiceycat said:spring break goes from the middle of Feb - starts President week
beachblanket said:But if one has to generalize, they don't start earlier than mid March and are pretty much over by the third week in April.
Doctor P said:A spring break, not an Easter break, generally begins in the 6th-8th week of the Spring semester, or after the Winter Quarter ends when a school system is on the quarter system. For a school that begins immediately after the New Year's holiday (which many do), the spring break will generally fall the first week in March. If it is a true Spring Break, it will NEVER fall as late as even the first week in April.
beachblanket said:This thread is mixing up winter and spring breaks. Many school systems (particularly back east) do both. Or put differently, I don't know of a single school system anywhere that labels a February President's day vacation week (a very busy period at WDW) as "spring break". That's the winter break.

The University of Michigan is another school that uses the term "Spring Break" for their February break.
