Up to date menus and prices

So, I am just realizing that the allearsnet.com menus are pretty out of date when it comes to pricing. For example, they list Minnie and Friends at $23.99 per adult, but the disneyland.com website lists it at more than $30 per person.

Does anyone have a different site/list that they use that they think might be more accurate, especially when it comes to the buffet prices?

Thanks!

The best way to find out the current buffet prices, as they change throughout the year, is to phone Disney Dining and ask what the cost is for when you are planning to go.

For example:

Minnie's Breakfast in August - $30.16/adult
Minnie's Breakfast in October - $25.85/adult

I've noticed some of the menus on allears are out of date too. I have a menu book I put together so it's annoying when they're out of date and I realize that AFTER I print it out..

dlresortinfo dot com has menus, but I'm not sure how up to date they are...

Wow, a lot of complaining about a very helpful service that's free to anyone with a computer.

FWIW, when you calling Disney Dining they tend to give you the price with tip and tax included. While allears does not.

And disneyland.com isn't at all specific, they just state:

Price Range: $$$$ ($30 per person or more) *

* Please note that the dining price range is for reference purposes only and may not reflect actual prices of the dining location mentioned.

And like someone mentioned, they've started this holiday extra-cost thing. :sad2:

OH, and be sure to always note the updated date! allears' date on Minnie is January of '08. dlresort info's date is October of '07. Knowing the date is important for estimating if they might have changed the price.

buy the tickets from getawaytoday.com tax tip included and cheaper

you can buy character meal vouchers at GAT? Do they mail them to you or how does that work?

Yes, and you don't even have to book your trip with them. I have not found a way to purchase character meals on their website if you aren't getting a package. But you can call their 800 number.

go to gat.
Hover mouse over Vacation Destinations, and see choices appear underneath.
Move mouse down to Tickets, and you'll see a list of place appear. Either click on Tickets, or mouse down to Disneyland, and click.

You'll see:

DISNEYLAND® Resort
DISNEYLAND® Resort
Please update your travel date for correct pricing and availability.

Under that are dropdown boxes.

Make sure Disneyland resort is your destination, and dropdown to "dining" under Type, and click so it changes to Dining.

And there you'll see the dining options for Disneyland!

Be sure to click on the "more" buttons for each, to make sure you know what you're getting, before ordering!!!!!

Oh, and GAT dining vouchers include tip and taxes.

You can purchase seperate dining tickets without the package through their website.

Select "Vacation Packages", then "tickets" then Disneyland. It will take you to park tickets; however, if you select "dining" in the drop down menu where it says "attraction" the character meal options will show up. :cheer2:

I called this morning and got the $25 plus change rate quoted to me for our late Oct.-early Nov. trip, so I bit the bullet and made a PS.

I just gagged a little last night when I was fooling around on disneyland.com and discovered that Minnie and Friends was listed at a higher price point than the Blue Bayou. I mean, it is only breakfast after all...the cheapest meal of the day to produce and prepare.

And, while we love the characters and watching their interactions with DS and all the other kids, I can't see spending over $30 a person for a meal that DH won't even eat--he doesn't eat breakfast foods...I know, he's weird like that! Thus, we have tended towards Lilo & Stitch and Chip 'n Dale in the past so that he can just order his coffee. But, I have always wanted to do Minnie's, so now we are.

Thanks for everyone's help!:thumbsup2

:goodvibes I can understand that gut feeling!

I think it's b/c the average of food costs at BB is being brought down by desserts, drinks, and such. While there's only one cost at Minnie's b'fast.

LOL--looks like I have a new nickname Bumby?

i think gat needs to be in a sticky so ppl know how to get the charcter meals since it seems its always hard to find when you first get on the site

Okay, so OT, but sort of on topic, does Minnie's breakfast INCLUDE tip? I always thought ALL character dining places included tax and tip in their price. Today I called to make PS's and the CM told me it does not included tip.. I was kind of confused...

:) Hope you don't mind too much. :cool2:

Usually the ones where you have a choice (menu or buffet) do not, but the ones where its only buffet do. So it's odd that they didn't include it.

then again, I was totally surprised when the Disney dining CM told me the price including tax and tip for Ariel's breakfast, so who knows what they are supposed to do!

pinktink, interesting that the Dis' site has info that says it's updated. They take ages to update normally!

I have another question. I dont' usually do character meals at DL, but am going to the Storytellers Breakfast in October.

The GAT character breakfast tickets include tax and gratuity. Do the prices listed on the WDWinfo site include tax and gratuity? I'm thinking no, but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks!

"And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner".

This is good info, thanks everybody. I'm doing Minnie and Friends with DD13 (whether she rolls her eyes at me or not!:thumbsup2 ) and while I made the PS's, I didn't buy tickets. Was considering doing it through GAT, but there's that $10 processing fee. It's been reported that they're no longer taking the "podcast" discount code, even over the phone, and I think that 10 bucks would cancel out the advantage of prepurchasing them? Even with tax and tip? Don't know. Maybe I'll just call GAT and whimper at them... :rotfl:
