We just did the polar expedition on June 25

I might get flamed but unless you are DYING to touch a penguin - don't waste your $$$
It wasn't quite what I expected. We walked through the "back" area of SW over by the Artic building and Mambo Joes... We apparently missed a segment of the tour...no explanation why, guide just said "oh, we didn't get the okay to go down that hall today"
We saw the beluga whale experience a group was having (didn't need the tour for that) - heard a little lecture about beluga whales and what makes them different from killer whales...
We saw the filtration systems and the kitchen area for the walruses and beluga whales
We went to the behind the scenes area for the polar bear and saw Snow sleeping - learned alot about polar bears also
Then for the highlight - got to pet a penguin (Penny a 17 yr old Magellenic)for about 5 seconds

with 2 fingers
While I do think it was fairly educational...it was certainly not worht the $76.00

we spent for our group of 6 (with a platinum passholder discount)
