We are Disney annual pass holders, but want to include a day at universal and IOA on our trip next week. We will be going to both parks in one day. We have been to both several times, so we aren't newbies, but I am not as familiar with the crowd levels/patterns as I am at WDW.
I noticed that there is a Harry Potter Event the last weekend of January, so we decided to go Saturday, January 21 to also avoid MLK holiday. How do you think the crowds will be? Will it still be pretty busy since it is a Saturday?
Also, we were considering just starting the day with a one park ticket and going into Universal studios bc we went to IOA in November. If the crowds are low, we will upgrade our ticket to go to IOA as well. If we upgrade, do we just pay the extra $50 to make up the difference of the ticket price or is it more expensive to do it this way?
