UO Announces....

I'm all for more entertainment options at Universal. This sounds great!

I wonder if either will be included in the Premier/Premium APs and how this will be reflected in pricing...

I'm excited for this also.

I think miniature golf is a relatively untapped platform for really cool theming and effects. Even Disney's courses, while nice aren't incredibly special (though they are fun!)

Yup, when the parks close early in the winter, having something else to do at Citywalk will be great.

I agree with everyone that this is a great idea. More family-oriented entertainment at Citywalk is a good idea.

My guess is, though... as the sun goes down, it will be less family oriented and more rowdy teens/drunks.

Really hoping this is not just a cheap mall version where you have blacklights and static statues. Really hoping that it's a really interactive course...it is a smallish area, but they do great things with limited amounts of space.

This should be an excellent and family friendly addition to CityWalk! I can't wait to see some of the concept drawings when they are released. :thumbsup2

An indoor ski resort like the proposed Dubai Snowdome would be great at UOR somewhere. As it is, we will have to make do with Mini Golf for the time being. It's not a bad idea, but there are already courses at RPR, so I highly doubt guests will choose the CityWalk version if they want to tee off. And then the main market falls to daytrippers, mostly teenagers. Are they really going to come to UOR just to play mini-golf? Maybe they will, but will do so without ever planning to buy a park ticket, which means CityWalk just gets busier and busier while resort guests suffer the consequences.

I am in favour of an admission fee to CityWalk for non resort guests/park visitors, on top of the parking fees.

Meh. There's nothing worse than a crowded mini golf course, IMO. And on City Walk, you can bet it'll be crowded -- especially, as mentioned, on those evenings when the parks close early.

Darn, wish that was open this year. I love miniature golf!
