Unusual Packing Tips

packing cubes are usually with the luggage.

I personally use Space Bags for our luggage. The most economical way to purchase them is through their website if you plan to buy more than 3.

I agree with PP that suggested packing individual outfits in ziploc bags. I swear by that, especially with kids. This way the entire outfit is right there and ready. With daughters, they usually have hairbows and accessories to go with their outfits and this way its right in the bag. I also like to use shower caps to stick your shoes in when packing. This way nothing else gets dirty from the bottoms of the shoes!

I always bring lens cleaner wipes for my glasses/sunglasses.

With the repetitive additions of sunblock, it's easy to get greasy fingerprints on your sunglasses and it's near impossible wipe off!

You can buy little wet naps for lenses in most drugstores.

We ended up buying Ziploc's version of space bags and they worked wonderfully and they weren't as expensive. It saved a lot of room which was essential when we were coming back home with all our newly acquired Disney Stuff!!

I also bring several travel size sunscreens so I can keep something small w us in the tiny backpack I wear each day in the parks. And not a packing tip but before we leave for the day, I take pics of the kids so I can show someone what they are wearing if they get lost (and shoe IDs too).

The pic idea of the kids is great!!

We like to bring foaming soap (as I don't like using bars that they have there). And the method soap dispensers that look like mickey/minnie....are perfect!

I also purchased hanging closet organizers (for sweaters and such), one for each of my kids, to hang on the rod in the 'storage' areas of the room. I unpack the suitcases and put all my kids clothing, separated for each day, on each shelf. Then we don't have to live out of suitcases and I use vertical space.
