Unusual Easter trip next year, including DVC

I travel many places besides WDW. One of my favorites has always been Ft. Myers Beach, FL. I spent 10 nights there over Easter this year. I loved it, but it has gotten so expensive! I still want to have 10 nights in FL next Easter without totally giving up Ft. Myers Beach, so here's the plan which will also make use of my DVC points:

1)Fly into Ft. Myers, stay 3 nights at my favorite resort there.

2)Drive up to WDW, stay 5 nights in BWV standard studio. (Sun.-Fri., just finished successfully booking this as of today!!!) I'll have an AP, so my expenses should be minimal.

3)Drive back to Ft. Myers, stay 2 nights at the resort there before flying home.

This may be a solo trip, and I don't mind the driving in between. So I'm going to give this a try and see what happens. It sure is nice to have DVC as an option to fill out that Easter trip next year. 80 points for those 5 nights is definitely worth it to me!


Now all I have to do is find cheap airfare...

Good luck on your trip next year sounds like a great time to me. We are neighbors and live in Rochester Hills also. Good luck on the airfare. It might less money to fly into Orlando, but maybe you will get lucky.

Hey there, todsue99! Nice to meet another Roch. Hills DVC friend. (TiggerFreak is from Roch. Hills too. ) I live in the south part of town, down near Troy. How about you?

Yeah, it may be challenging to find cheap airfare into Ft. Myers. This Easter I found my Delta flight into FM for only $177! Sure would love to find that kind of fare again. The great deals seem harder to come by this year so far. But I'll keep trying!

Travelbug............... just to the northeast of you in Washington Twp. (near the new Meijers). Sounds like a great vacation. Have you considered flights out of Flint, MI (FNT)?

Hi, Beastfan! I definitely know where Washington Twp. is. Nice to meet another neighbor.

I LOVE flying out of Flint. It's such a nice laidback airport, especially compared with Metro. I always check fares out of both places, and usually go with the cheapest option I can find.

Thanks to DVC, at least I don't have to shop around for hotel rates too. I can concentrate on finding those elusive cheap plane tickets.
