Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as "unexpiring meals"..I know last year we had some full service and quick service left over..we lost them when we returned home.

I know this will probably happen to us again in May.

Thanks!!

Use them or lose them !

You may be able to convert some TS or CS meals into snack credits to load up for your trip home though

I think I will have to do that..convert to snacks for SeaWorld and Aquatica too and on the trip back home.

Just thought I'd check cuz I know that you can get non-expiry tickets for the theme parks.

Take in one or 2 of the dinner shows (they use 2 meal credits). We did the Luau but I know Hoop-Dee_Doo gets good reviews too!

We always convert anything left over to snacks to bring home. We did the DxDDP last august and we ended up with nearly 20 snacks to bring home at the end of our stay!!
Nothing like a bag of Mickey pretzels to brighten a blue day;)

Yes, use up the extras in snack credits to take home! At the Boardwalk shop, the clerk gave us a picture card with what we could select to fill the 12 snack credits we had not used!

A lot of Mickey ears lollipops were awesome for gifts!

In December 2007, we ended up with 2 counter service and 8+ snack credits remaining. While I had no trouble blowing the snack credits, I just could not justify fitting more goodies into our suitcase. On our final night, I was in line at the Garden Grill - and watched a young family of 4 try to sort out meals (the kids were hungry and did not want to "share again").

To make a long story short, I ended up purchasing the adult meals with our 2 spare counter service credits; they picked up their kids meals. While getting hugs from strangers was weird, it made me realize everyone has the power to give a little Disney "magic".

So, if you find yourself all fooded out - remember sharing is fun too :wizard:

The feeling of doing good for another family would be priceless.........there are not enough random acts of kindness these days - I bet that family still talks about that to their friends and family members

For me, it was realizing we'd had plenty to eat over the week - and I refused to see money going to waste. Knowing what it's like to food budget for Disney, I have no regrets sharing our unused credits!

Sort of on but off topic...

I'm the same way with gift cards - I use up every last penny, since otherwise the corporation in question who owns that gift card will eventually take back those few cents. It add up when lots of people forget about the small balances.

I also "paid" for a Mum and her ds to have a nice lunch. They had come to CS to have lunch as they lived near Disney. They usually didn't eat but were really hungry. That was their entertaining. They were really excited and happy that they didn't have to pay for their lunch. I also got a couple of snacks for a few other people. Since I didn't have to "pay" for it I hated to have them go to waste.

What a nice thing to do, getting other people food! I feel a bit bad now that I brought home about 25 chocolate dipped Mickey Rice Krispee treats last summer.

on my last day we had a hard time getting to buy people some CS meals. I think they were put off by it, i even said, get a snack at least, but they did not. I did manage to buy someone there yogurt.

I think this day and age a lot of people sometimes including myself find ourselves skeptic when someone offers something for free because we expect that there is a catch or we will end up paying for it, if not more, in the end.

Offering someone something for free is something you don't see too often but its great to be able to do especially when it turns that person of families day brighter. I am glad to see such kindness among people still....Maybe its just a Canadian thing...being so nice:banana:
