Unused Desserts Into Snacks?

I think I saw somewhere that when eating at a TS restaurant a person can tell the server that they will not be eating dessert and therefore want to have a snack credit added to their DDP. Is this an actual thing or am I making stuff up in my head? Just want to confirm as I'm doing calculations.

TIA!!

I don't think that is accurate.

At a CS restaurant, you can get any item from the menu that is a snack credit in place of the dessert. You have to do it when buying your meal. They don't add a credit to your plan.

The same thing applies to the drink. It may be substituted for any eligible snack item at a CS restaurant.

This is from the official dining plan brochure. For TS, it indicates that there may be substitutions for the dessert and you can ask your server but substitutions are not guarenteed.

Thanks all for clearing the misunderstanding up for me. I'm glad I asked!

Just quoted you so you would see this. At a TS restaurant, you can ask your server if they are allowing anything other than dessert for the dessert portion of your credit. Some restaurants will allow you to have a small soup or salad or a veggie of some kind, but there has been very little reported on this supposed adjustment to the dining plans. Just ask. You never know what you might be given.
