:rotfl2: Alrighty - the positive note is back (I wasn't that far off that it included an A) Sounds like fun!!! :yay:

:lmao:

Should I be scared...you tapered off there without your positive note  :faint:

Come Back Alex!!! Give me a positive note!!!

A? A Sharp? A flat??? Don't leave me hanging :rotfl:
:rotfl2:

I fixed it. BRB, need to fix lunch for DS3...

OMG!

When we were out and about earlier it was raining, sort of slushy rain. I just turned around to get DS3 and leave the room, and out the window there are BIG FAT FLAKES coming down!!! Big snow!!!

Wonder how Staley's doing? Hope she got big fat flakes, too! :yay:

Okay.. dropped my laundry off at the fluff and fold place. I know.. But there was so much, I just couldnt bear to do it, and DH was NOT in the mood to help. I suggested it, and he RAN the laundry down to the car. :yay: :yay: Do you want to now how much laundry? 80lbs. I kept my undies out though... I just dont like the idea of some creepy old guy washing my skivies.

That is very cool you have snow!!! Like I told Alex though, keep it to yourself!!! I really enjoyed it this year, but right now I am enjoying the spring :cool1: . I probably need to clarify, I have lived in Mesa/Gilbert AZ my WHOLE life. You have two season, blazing hot, and not quite so hot. There are no seasons. My poor DD was all confused in kindergarten because they taught her the 4 seasons and she just didn't get it. But now - I know what seasons are like - and spring is beautiful!!! We are getting a bunch of flowers to plant (to live with the pine trees :rolleyes1 ) tonight :yay:

That reminds me of my college days. DH and I were dating pretty seriously, but my parents were still just getting to know him, of course, since we only came back to the Seattle area a few times during the school year.

So when I knew I was headidng home, I'd bag up all my laundry to save the cost and just do it at my parents'. Well, even though I'd ask her not to, my mom would often sneak and do all my laundry for me.

Boy, was I shocked one time when I was putting away my folded clothes back at school and found a pair of DH's underwear in the mix. She knows!!! :scared1:

Too true! For most of my life we've lived on the West Coast (Seattle area, and San Francisco area for 4 years), so I never really understood about seasons, either.

The first time I experienced real seasons was when I went to college in Ellensburg. It's considered semi-arid desert out there, so it's hot and very dry in the summer, but cold and snowy in the winter (or at least it used to be.) The leaves fall in the autumn, snow stays on the ground all winter (with frozen ruts in the roads), flowers bloom and cottonwood and hay bloom in the spring (and I found out I am seriously allergic to SOMETHING at that time of year), and there's a strong wind pretty much all year round.

I loved it so much. :goodvibes

I think I could deal with cold and rainy way better then OMG I just opened an oven door - but there is no way DH could deal with clouds all the time.

At least they put Zyrtec over the counter so I have an attack for whatever chooses to bloom that don't like me :thumbsup2 . This really is all weird to me, we drive down the road and there are millions of wildflowers blooming - it is just amazingly beautiful (not to mention we won't get TOO hot in the summer - heck, I never thought I would buy a house without an A/C - granted we had ceiling fans installed in every room and we have an evap cooler :rolleyes1 )

Hola Hyenas!!!!

Just caught up from last night. Not too much going on, except Shawna's Mom. :sad1:
I'm watching my DGS again today. My DIL is up your neck of the woods Alex and Megan, in Seattle doing a cheese tasting at Costco. I wonder if it is snowing on them?

It is about 75 degees here. A beautiful spring day. My yard is looking pretty good right now. We have a pond with a waterfall that needs to be fixed. The falls are leaking outside of the pond. Dave has tried to fix it, but has never been able to stop the leak. So I guess now we have to hire someone. Phooey!:headache: But I love it. When it is 100 degrees outside, it is nice and soothing to hear. Makes me feel cooler. Ha Ha!! I wish!!! We have a pool too, but that is not unusual for here. I think about evey other house around here has one. It's a life saver when it is sooooooooooo hot!!!

 I drove back to work after my lunch break and there is one intersection that is busy 24/7. At the traffic light I always turn right at the corner to head back to work. There are 2 lanes to turn left to go to Costco, and 2 lanes to go straight. I always go in the far right lane, which is to turn right at the traffic light only. There is only 1 lane to turn right here. The lane to my left is to go on the freeway only. The problem is that they do not have signs, just white markings on the left lane indicating it leads to the freeway. There are no arrows drawn showing it's okay to turn right also. :sad2:

Well one daughter in an SUV turned right (she's on my left) the same time I did and she almost hit the front of my car. I honked at her and the passenger (looked like her mom) rolled down the window and yelled at me: "THERE ARE TWO LANES TO TURN RIGHT!!" and she even made a 2 sign with her fingers. I yelled back: "THERE'S ONLY ONE LANE TO TURN LEFT!! and raised my pointer finger." I don't know if she heard me but she was an freakin idiot!!

Okay, sorry, I'm just pissed because this is the THIRD time I've almost been an accident at that spot. I wrote an e-mail to the city mayor along with one of the city council members who is in charge of transporation and roads here. I suggested that they put up a sign showing that one lane is for the freeway only and the other is for right turn only. I'm not sure if they will even care or bother to read my e-mail but I'm hoping they do.

Wow!!! Beyond it sounding like a horrible intersection I cannot believe the mom would roll down the window and yell at you - that is ridiculous  . I am glad you are ok though and she didn't hit you :goodvibes

The funny thing is... How did he leave my apartment one morning without his underwear??? How do you not notice you're missing them? :confused3

Maybe I was at his place once and needed them (like Aunt Flo came or something)? I just don't even know how they got in my laundry, but there must have been some logical explanation. Besides the obvious... :rolleyes1

Ohhhh, I love seeing wildflowers on hillsides.

You just don't see that out here. Out in the Bay Area where we lived there were lots of rolling hills of grass and wildflowers, specifically poppies, the state flower.

Out here it's shrubs, about the prettiest thing is that yellow blooming shrub ~ what is it Staley, Scotchbroom? Lots of people are allergic to that apparently.

One year somebody anonymously threw wildflower seeds along grass along the freeway out here. The next spring, they were so beautiful with wildflowers in every color imaginable! Simply gorgeous! Well, the DOT had to send people out to whack it all out and remove it. WHY, you ask? People loved it, why ruin a nice thing???

Because a bunch of idiots were stopping at the side of the freeway to pick the flowers! FOLKS! It's illegal to stop on the freeway unless you have an emergency!!! :headache: :rotfl:

Pix, we have a bad intersection like that near us. Three lanes, with the far left able to go left or onto the freeway, middle lane can ONLY go onto the freeway, and far right lane can go straight or right.

It was like taking your life in your hands if you were in the middle or left lane, because people would try to go into a lane they shouldn't to get onto the freeway from the left lane, or suddenly decide to go left from the middle lane. We had several near accidents and people shaking their fists and cursing at us (when we were in the right, LOOK AT THE FREAKIN' SIGN, STUPID!)

Finally (about 2 years after the lanes were made), they put in new HUGE signs indicating EXACTLY where each lane could go, and also painted the info on the lanes as you headed toward that intersection. It's made all the difference! :thumbsup2
