I don't post on any of the others.. but we did go, as a group, to visit one long thread.. they are similar to us.. just a silly group fo ladies chit chatting about what we like/love. They have a zany sense of humor -- more so than here .. yes really!


Some of the threads are just plain silly, some are serious topics that turn into these ugly debates (the social programs one comes to mind for the most recent)

Do you use a name on here, or shall we call you DZNYMA? (Some people use both their screen name and real name, but I prefer not to use my real name online. DH is "Mr. Security", so folks around here just call me "Alex".)

I took the boys to the zoo this morning. We had a great time, even though it was foggy and chilly. DS3 did really well sticking with me and DS7; I even let go of his hand several times to give him a chance to behave (or not), and he did sooo well, I was really happy with him!

UNTIL, that is, we were in an indoor play area and it was time for lunch. The plan was to eat our picnic lunch, then meander through a few more exhibits on our way toward the entrance, and then stop in the zoo store for a little treat for the boys. Instead DS3 not only refused to put on his coat and shoes, but he lay down on the floor and was flopping around when I tried to dress him myself. Grrrrrrr!

I warned him that if he wasn't going to listen we'd have to leave, and gave him more than one chance to get with the program. He just flopped around, so I picked him up, dressed him, and marched him toward the entrance. He sobbed the whole way, DS7 hung back (I think pretending he wasn't with us ) and we drove home.

We ate our picnic lunch at the dining table and I lay down on the couch because I had this horrible headache. (Either from this sinus problem or perhaps coffee withdrawal.) I took some headache meds and fell asleep hearing DS7 telling DS3 to be quiet "because Mama doesn't feel good and she's sleeping."

When I woke I took DS3 to bed to nap, and we both crashed hard! I heard DH come home not too long after that. DS and I slept until 5:30!
And I feel much better now.

It's really kinda funny the photos that show up with your answer, isn't it? My birthday is in october, and I typed "so many" for "who's your favorite celebrity" and had to pick the brightly colored crocs, cute!

And of course you know that photo is not my boys, right? It's just representative of what I spend all my money on.

LOL thanks Bernice. I just jumped out of the shower. I took some Tylenol PM tonight so I should pass out in a few minutes.

What is it with headaches today. I am out of my midrin so I had to make due with a tylenol/motrin combo. It doesnt work as well but takes the edge off.

Your DS7 is such a sweetie, his good influences will steer the 3 yo throughout life. We tell the boys, we wanted you to have a sibling so you wouldn't be alone in the world. There job is to look out for each other-- and they DO!

So wish me luck tomorrow. A friend from the preschool and I are joining weight watchers. I am having the hardest time getting with my own program. I did weight watchers on my own after the kids were each born and it worked great. My mom was on it at the time so I used her advice and points calculator. So anyway, this time I tried by myself and I just cannot get motivated. Finally I said I need to do something or it will be summer and I'll be in the same position so we are heading to a meeting tomorrow morning. I'm really hoping embarrassing myself in front of someone else will motivate me.
