Nope.. just trying to see who pays the best, Cost of Living and health insurance.

I looked at these school districts in AZ:
Florence
Gilbert

And these in Phoenix :
Alhambra
Fowler
Cartwright
Creighton

But they don't list much about benefits for any of them... California sounds better so far... Not sure how many apps he wants to put out at the job fair. I just know there are only two districts locally here in MN that are hiring.. kinda leery of getting job in MN... we have a corrupt retirement pay system for state employees , they made some huge budget errors!!
And the local teachers ahve told us the health insurance is very pricey for little coverage.

And we are so tired of winter!!

Even my 11 yo had a bit of seasonal blues this year.. which concerns me as he is just like his dad in so many ways. Hubby takes high doses for depression, he has rough winters when it's cloudy grey /cold all the time.

I like the winter time. I love fall and winter. I despise summer and spring!

Spring='s lots of clarinex and patanol for allergies
Summer='s yucky hot weather. My bedroom is the hottest room in the house and I don't like it at all (even with the A/C on and windows open). Not sure why but it gets the least ventilation. I also can't stand the fact that summer time has tons of creepy crawly arachnids!! NOOOOOO!!!!!

Spiders are cool, unless one drops down right in front ot your nose as you step out of the shower..... I screamed for hubby "come kill it!!"

I felt so vulnerable wrapped in a towel, I mean what if the icky hairy thing landed on me???

update to my job huntr for hubby list.. scratch Florence.. population 6,000--- NO way!!! We have proven small town (and college town) is not for us!

Spiders are evil! If I see one it MUST DIE!! I will use bug spray and even swiffer mops to squash them on the ceilings. I don't like how there are black widows sometimes outside our house. Only in the summer time but I will kill it if I see it or ask my bf to kill it.

I am glad you added that - I was going to let you know the only thing I know about Florence is it has a prison!!! Actually my BIL and SIL teach for Florence - 1/2 of the kids are pulling out to private next year - he teaches K - there are 80 kids that share a room!!! If there are plusses to it though - they live in Queen Creek - still with affordable housing and still growing. You would not want to live in Florence - but you could live in QC.

Gilbert is a great town (they still call us that) - even though we are much bigger!!! It has gotten so big out here it all runs together to Phoenix.

I used to get so freaked out by them that I would cover them with clear glasses and make sure they stayed until DH would come home and kill them!!!

Ok so I really did it then I tried to take her ds's backpack but my son realized it. Sue me I've had a bad day!

Dh is home so that is all I am going to say now except DO NOT move to Florence Funnygarcia. We actually looked at a development called Anthem but decided it was way too far out from the city to deal with. They have a ton of problems in that small city. QC is nice though and Gilbert is AWESOME!

Gilbert would be a good choice. I looked at Google maps, looked like Gilbert and other close by cities are like suburbs to Phoenix.
Very similar to here.. except Minneapolis is not as large as Phonenix!!



I have a thing about living near water, I have always lived near a body of water (Lake Superior in Duluth, a small lake where my parents live now, lots of lakes and Mississippi River here in the Twin Cities). Green plants, water and sunshine I need them!

That's why I'm researching beyond Las Vegas.. might be a bit too land locked for me.
