I really had my heart set on hitting Wild Waves.. but the weather has NOT been conducive to a water park trip!

Is that similar to Raging Waters? I've never been to a water park. I might scare people and cast a shadow!

Oh please!! I have never been to water park either.. Wait.. yes i have. We took all the kids to Wet and Wild in Vegas when we got married. And I mean all the kids. 5 of them. But they had fun!

I feel like I need to cram a whole lotta fun in these last few days. We'll see what happens.

DS got gift cards (Barnes & Noble, Toys R Us) for his birthday, plus I've got coupons for a couple stores, so am kinda itchin' to go shopping. But the idea of dragging two little boys through a mall is a bit daunting. Still, if this rain keeps up, it will be worth it just to visit the mall play structure.

Really? I checked weather.com this morning, and it looked pretty sketchy most of the week, except Wed. I think was supposed to be sunny and 75.

Oh, have to tell you guys: You know htat DS7's party was a pool party? Well, the facility rules stated that unless the child could pass a deep water swim test, they'd need a parent/adult in the water with them.

So one of my girlfriends said that she'd be getting in the water with her child, and DH joked, "Then you'll be the only mom in the pool!" My other girlfriends had said, "I'm not getting' in the pool, are YOU getting in the pool?" "Nope, not me, DH is."

So my friend M called me the morning of the party to ask a question, and we got to talking. She tells me her DH wasn't feeling well, was coming down with a headcold, she thought. He complained a bit about not feeling well, and she said, "But... you're still getting in the pool, right?" He started to say, "Weeeelllll,..." And she stopped him: "No, listen to me. You ARE still planning to get into the pool, AREN'T YOU." Not a question really...

Ladies! Dh is out of town for the week so I'm all by myself in Scotland and guess what it's cloudy and cold AGAIN! But dh msn'd me and told me Norway is sunny and beautiful and he's so happy. What a jerk. I wish I was in the sun. I don't know if I can handle this all winter long I'll be crying and begging for my disney trip in November and with my luck it will be raining then when we get there and sunny in Scotland. Curse my bad luck!

You guessed it, it's overcast here. At least it's not raining. And Staley says it's supposed to be sunny later today.

Christina, here's hoping you get some sun breaks, too!

I went to Australia one summer (their winter) and apparently it was an unusually sunny summer in Seattle that year. Meanwhile it was sometimes overcast and rainy in Sydney, and when I returned to Seattle and the rains started again here, I felt like I had had an entire year of clouds and rain, no fun!
