HMMMM, haven't read back yet but apparently I missed yet
another fun hyena night.
We packed a ton of fun into our weekend, got home and crashed each night.. ahhh life is good in California.
Saturday was our beach day.
Newport Beach has a nice mellow mood. A little cool out that morning but the ocean was warm. Played with the waves fror a few hours, headed back home.
Hubby took a wrong turn and ended up on the Pacific Coast Highway instead of the 55. Meandered up to Huntington Beach.. totally different feel than Newport.
Swanky Hyatt hotel that was over 2 blocks long of multiple buildings, lots and lots of tourists, shopping, and oil drills???

Ok that threw me for a loop. Beautiful beach on one side.. across the street.. industrial factories and oil drills pumping away.
Went home and crashed, slept two hours and vegged for the rest of the day.
Sunday was
Disneyland Day!!!!
Followed the crowd back to Nemo and decided it wasn't worth it.
Knocked out all the Fantasyland rides with ZERO wait in line (everyone was in line for Nemo
Wandered back to BTMRR- another zero wait.
HM, Pirates... this is fun, walk on for all the rides.
Went over on the first raft to the island, first time for the boys to see the changes. The Smugglers Cove was the favorite.. perfect for teen/preteen boys

Stumbled upon Jack by the treasure pile, we were too shy to interact with him. He commented "no taking the treasure in your hats now" as we left. We heard someone else come out of the cave behind Jack.. they gave a little scream and scrambled off
Later we got hungry, decided to go to DTD for tacos. Hubby loved it, boys weren't too happy. Too bad so sad.
Decided to cut thru the Grand into DCA. Started walking thru the hall leading into the Grand...
We got DREAMED!!

(Lanyards with two pins.)
A first for all of us!
Hubby used his lanyard for his work ID today
Later we hopped back into DL. Had dinner at Plaza Inn, our new favorite must do meal. Encountered a crabby lady in line.. sigh... we enjoyed our meal in the coolness, far far away from the crabby lady.
Went on Indy. Got as far as sitting down and buckling up , the vehicle started , bounced a few times and then stopped.. BEEEEEEEP
Yep, we broke that side.
Switched to the other loading side. Every few scenes we stopped. Sound track off, ride vehicle bouncing and making engine noises.
It was so freakin funny, music crescendo to build excitemnt, getting close to the arrow/air blast scene.. and we STOP. Bounce bounce bounce , engine noise for a few minutes, finally the mucis comes back on .. get my lovely hair do done.

And then we STOP! Bounce, bounce bounce.. finally speed off again. Get to the rock rolling/ Indy hanging above us scene. He says his spiel.. and STOP! Bounce bounce boune.. Indy is twiching above our heads, no sound. Then we do the rest of the scene, get to the bottom. We STOP , the music plays on as if we had finished the ride. Start back up, move a few feet, we STOP .. right in front of Indy twitching, moving thru the actions with no sound in the last scene.
Hubby says "look he has Parkinson's"
I say "nooooooo , he's having a seizure"
We laughed all the way back up the exit.
To find the crowds have taken over the park.

Crowded everywhere we turned.
Debated going on more rides, did Buzz. Then decided we had enough and headed home before the evening parade started.
My feet hurt today. I have blisters

and an itchy rash on the back of my calves. Not sure if it was from being splashed on Pirates or whatever odd thing my sensitive skin decided to react on.
So it's a barefoot and cropped PJs day, give everything a chance to relax and heal.
yes, life is good in California.
