17 More Days until WDW!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Bought my 1 day ticket to Epcot today. They had a special for Komen racer's for $33!
You must be so excited!!!

I almost hate to bring it up (for fear of being sorely disappointed if you answer in the negative), but are you going to DL after all? I think you may have answered and I have subconsciously blocked it from memory... :sad1:

Question: are all the hyenas going to the halloween hunt on the same day? What day is it? Do you have to have a kid to go? :confused3

I'm going to have to wait & see. I'm already taking 3 days off work in September, then I'm going to be off work for 3-4 weeks in February. My boss has been really good about giving me time off when I was going through chemo. I'm salaried and he kept paying my entire salary while I was sick. So I hate to push it too much. I already feel like I've taken so much time off this last year. Plus we have property taxes, homeowner's insurance & auto insurance all due in October-November.

BUT....if I don't spend too much at WDW, and I can find a really good airfare or a Travelocity last minute weekend special then I might try coming just for the weekend. So don't count me out yet!! Plus my boss travels a lot, so if he just happens to be out of the office that Friday or Monday, then it will make it easier to take the time off.:thumbsup2

So here's my schedule for WDW:

Friday - arrive & have dinner with my sister at Downtown Disney.

Saturday - get up early and spend the day with my sister at Epcot. My friend Ilene will be joining me for the evening at Epcot.

Sunday - Race for the Cure at Disney Wide World of Sports in the morning. Then meet with Komen message board friends and the DIS breast cancer survivor friends.

Monday - I'm all by myself!! I can do whatever I want. I'm thinking either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I love the water parks!! :thumbsup2 Any ideas?? What should I do this day?????

Tuesday - fly back to reality!

Cuz you're leaving on a jet plane and don't know if you'll be back again? Sorry, that song just popped in my head! :rotfl:

Staley's family and mine are going on Fri. 5th, I don't know if any other hyenas are going. :confused3

And I don't know if all the MHT stuff is geared more toward kids or what. I guess there's candy and craft activities, of course meeting characters and the rides. not sure what else?

I think Blizzard Beach sounds fun! When I see that Disney Sing Along with the kids at the beach, it makes me want to go there and go down the cool water slides! :rotfl2:

I have never been to WDW, so I got nothin', sorry. :)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'd better be back again!! Of course I just keep thinking it will just be my luck that I will get there and a hurricane will ruin all my plans! I feel pretty safe in Orlando though, it's in the middle of the state, so usually the hurricane winds have died down a bit by the time it gets there, sorta!:lmao: My plane stops for 1 hour in Phoenix, so I guess if I get stuck there because of a hurricane I can just go stalk Shawna & Dizzy!

I've been to both. Typhoon Lagoon is very relaxing, beautiful flowers along the Lazy River and I love the Crush N Gusher slides, awesome wave pool. Blizzard beach is more "cartoony", but has a lot of not quite as scary slides that I like, and I love the Teamboat Springs family raft ride. I just can't make up my mind!

I love the sound of a beautiful, Lazy River float. Sounds very peaceful and relaxing after a race. :thumbsup2

Hey guys!! and pix, almost all the rides are opened, with almost NO lines..I walked right on Screamin. Shawna is going to i think.

I know how I'll decide which water park to go to. I'll just go out in front of the hotel and whichever bus shows up first will be the one I'll go to!:thumbsup2
