Has anyone ever purchased the guides from the website? Are they the same as in the 2005 book? Would they be worth the money? Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Anyone everr purchase these though the site?

I'm a researchaholic and like the guide. The only thing I don't like is the lack of pictures.

Personally, we got the absolute best info and touring plans from tourguidemike.com . We were doubters when he said if you follow his plan you'd never spend more than 10-15 minutes in line, but it worked AMAZINGLY well last year. So much so that we renewed this year. That site has a TON of info too. Highly recommended!

Yeah I have a subscription to tourguidemike.com already. I found his articles helpful. But I am looking for a step by step "what ride to go on and when" type of guide. Kinda like do SM than got to "fill in the blank" then go to "blank" by cutting through here or there. etc..... I was unable to find that on Mikes webpages.

Thanks for taking the time to reply..........

I've always bought the book from a store. Best deal is if you can wait a few months after book is released (Lord knows I can't) and Overstock.com usually has it for pretty cheap. But if you do buy it from the UG site, I'm sure it'll be safe & secure and exactly what you're looking for.

Here's what I have so far. I think I'm a Disney junkie.

Uofficial Guide
Tourguidemike.com
Passporter

And now I wanna get the UG website subscription. I think it is just over-kill. I really think I have been brainwashed on these boards. All I can think about is this Disney trip in May. maybe it is a big conspiracy and I just don't know it.....or.....maybe I do??????????

Thanks for replying

Sounds familiar. I ordered the UG too soon (before all the MYW and EMH changes occured.) I subscribed to Tourguidemike last week and am waiting for my Passporter to arrive! It's a good thing that the tips on these boards are saving me some money!

Bigcrit, 48 of the 50 plans on the site are different from the printed book. As I don't want this to sound like an ad, I'll not go into more detail about those.

The two plans that appear in both the site and the book are the morning AK plan and the afternoon DS plan. These also appear - free - at AllEarsNet.

Also, do I owe you a response to an email? I'm still around 400 behind from last week's trip. Sorry about that, if so.

We Love the Passporter  We live by it!! An absolute amazing tool for planning, especially meals. We are waiting for our 2005 edition to arrive. We carried it with us everywhere and CM's would ask us what it is. When we'd show them they were very impressed. In fact we were killing time before dinner @ Chef Mickey's milling around the gift shop and the CM took the info down to pass on to someone about carrying the book on site. It is worth the money, we ordered ours online through Barnes & Noble (because we get a member discount), but it is also offered at www.passporter.com (direct site).

hope that helps happy planning have a magical time

Len - I did send you an email but I understand you are busy. I have the UG book and it offers several tours. I wanted to know if you thought the online tours were worthwhile. I know you work for them and all but I still respect your opion veven if it is still slightly biased.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I guess I needed someone to tell me it was OK to plan this trip like my life depended on it. :rotfl:

Is the 2005 Passporter available at any store? I owuld love to have one by Monday AM but don't want to spend $22.00 for next day mailing service. Our vacation is in 4 weeks, but I am flying to Florida for a few days to visit my brother and all the plane time with no kids would be great to read the book. Evey store I have checked at does not have it.

Wow, that was my question! It's only $6.95, the first WDW I was cammando style, UG touring plan, my kids and dh were amazed, and awestruck! FF 8 years... I bought the book, i read the Dis, I cut out the guides, and then, I went with the flow of DD 8... it still gets to me that they never got there for an opening of MK!!

So, what to do what to do, after all, its an Oct trip, so the tours are different, the crowds are at a level 2, I so hate wasting money, and I so hate dh calling me obsessive!!
