I will be there this coming Labor day weekend (fri-monday). Wondering if the general guide still holds for being slow for that Sept. weekend?
Mousesavers web pages said that this was still a good time to go (low season?)but Ive read from others that the labor day weekend was very busy (same crowds like the summer months). Can anyone comment or clarify this.

I'm sure Len will have his own answer, but I stand by my statement -- Labor Day weekend is slow. Most kids in the Southeastern US have been back in school for some time.

Hey Mary!

We're predicting average crowds for the weekend, and below-average for the holiday itself. And the slow period begins......

Disney was offering free dinning to guests staying Aug 20 thru oct 4 at any resort, with it's Magic your way program, but you had to book by Aug 20th. It offered a snack, counter service meal, and a table service meal for each person per day. It could save the average family of four like us around $600 or more. I think the code was "YWM" or something like that all the web sites advertising are closed now. Call or travel agent or whom ever you booked with and see if its not late.

I just subscribed to the UG website for the touring plans for our trip in Oct. They now offer what they call "Cheat Sheets" that tell you what rides to avoid at which times of the day, when to use fastpass based on the time of day using the predicted crowd levels for your dates. For example: POC is suggested to use the S/B line all day while Splash Mtn is suggested to use S/B line until 10am and then FP all day until 1 hour before close when you should go back to using the S/B line. It has these hourly suggestions for all of the rides at each park. The cheat sheets are meant to be used in conjuction with a touring plan. I think that I will carry just the cheat sheet with notes on it from our touring plan so I don't have to carry too much paper around! ;)
