Unofficial Guide says to enter using gates 13 or 20...does this really matter??

First timers visiting Disneyland Resort tomorrow for five nights (yippee!)...would like to know if we NEED to follow the Unofficial Guide's info on what gates to enter through. Will gates 13 and 20 be less crowded...why are they suggested and where are they located?? How do you know what number the gates are anyway? Any other last-minute tips we should know about??

There are little black numbers painted on top of the gates. The numbers start at 1 on the DTD side and go up towards the Harbor Blvd side. Gate 13 is just a couple gates left of the middle of the entrance. Gate 20 would be to the right. I've used gate 13 before (never 20) and it usually moves fast--don't know why. Gates 1-6 (I think) are usually exit gates.
