Unofficial check-in for 2/23 Magic

How many times I am going to be at the mall this week picking up last minute items and keep FORGETTING to get my lime green ribbons. I am actually tired of the mall!!!!

Suitcases come out of the closet tonight, dry cleaning gets picked up tomorrow, LET THE PACKING COMMENCE!!!!

Now, as long as I have my money, passport, etc. I'll be fine. Anything else I forgot I will get on the trip!!

Karen.....I was thinking about what to drink my Beringer's wine from. I decided I will get a nice tropical drink at the sailaway party in a Souvenier glass, and then just use the glass the rest of the cruise for my nightly wine before dinner!!!! Yeah!!

MJ

HI, MJ--

I don't have a problem with my white zin in a water glass. I do like your idea of the drink at the Sailaway Party, though. I am so ready--I can't wait to find out dining rotation, etc.

As for packing, I've started a stack in the spare bedroom. No suitcases till the last minute because the dog freaks out.

About the girl in Disney Dreams--Ann Marie???????

Everybody keep calm--

Karen

Yes, that might be it!!!! Anne Marie rings a bell....though bells are ringing in my head all the time lately!!!

I am sending you a PM.

MJ

I have been so busy I have not even thought about the cruise! HELP, I need a good list of things to bring! I know there was one on the boards but I wonder if it got deleted? Anyone have a good source for a list?

MJ & Karen , when I read the post about the little girl's name , I read it out loud and my son had said Ann Marie. So, maybe Karen and my son are correct.

Any teens out there, Matty02 is looking for someone to make some plans. Check out his thread.

Is Matt with any of our parties currently on the list?

Having a hard time doing the everyday stuff--my heart is already on the Magic.

See y'all soon--

Karen

I am actually starting to put the clothes in the suitcases!!!! We are leaving our house tomorrow (the 17th) at 1:00 pm for our 4:00 pm flight. Hubyy is driving us since he can't go with us (boo hoo). I'll probably be off the boards for awhile. My FIL has a computer but I don't know if it is currently hooked up. If it is I'll give a shout out!!!

See you all on the 23rd!!!

MJ

MJ-
Have a safe trip! We'll look forward to meeting you on the 23rd!

I'm wondering if anyone has decided on excursions? I think we're going to go off on our own. I've been reading some of the posts. It seems as if one beach sounds nicer than the next! We planned to go to Coki Beach and Coral World, but now I'm thinking we should go to St. John.

I would be interested to hear what the "veterans" are going to do or have done in the past.

Thanks.
Cindi

Cindi--I'm not an expert on beaches, but I don't think you can go wrong. They are all beautiful.

MJ--If you want to contact us at the AS Movies, I'll PM you with info. Otherwise, I'll see you on February 23.

Karen

Karen-

I think you're right! I was just reading Dave's website and all the beaches sound nice.

Cindi

OK, I know this has probably been asked and answered before, but I'm packing NOW and trying to figure out how many formal nights there are? And while we're on it, are all the rest of the dinners semi-formal???

Dee, who can't think straight because we're getting soooooooo close! :bounce:

dee47...had to get my last fix of the DIS before I finish up all the packing.

There is one formal night, one semi-formal night. If you are lucky enough to have PlapPlap rotation, then you would be in Lumieris for the Formal Night, and Animator P. for the semi-formal night (I think I got that right) and Parrot Cay for the Tropical night.

All DCL says it that request no shorts for jean in the dining rooms. I plan on bring a few pantsuits for the non-formal nights.

Don't forget your tropical shirt!!!!

Bye for real this time!

MJ

Attn: Matty02

I just added your group to the list (first post on this thread).

Everyone!

Remember to look for lime green ribbons--anyone wearing one is sure to be an extra-nice person.

Also, after the safety drill--we're looking for first contact in the Promenade Lounge. Doubt if we'll stay long--just enough time so we can recognize each other later.

See you REAL soon----Karen

Okay Karen, you can add our group to your list:

NanaSue - 8 adults, four kids - grandparents Sue & Ron (CT); adult children and spouses Cindy & Bob (MI), Lynda & Dan (MA), Tami & Scott (NY, presently living in Hong Kong); grandchildren Justin (8), Lindsey (4), Kirsten (4), Natalie (2). Early seating.

oh dear.
saturday is the day. i am just gettin around to unpacking my summer clothes, which for me seems to always be unpacking from the mall... i like to shop what can i say. i went sunday and got a ton of clothes like so quick... it was awesome. i went shopping again today for all the essentials -- shoes, toothpaste, etc. -- and im ready to get away from school and stuff for a week.

few questions about our "group:"

lime green ribbon? where should i put it?

promenade lounge after the safety drill sounds good, i doubt my mom or sisters will come, but hey... i might show up and hand out my business cards to all of you wonderful people :) (ok stop - so i am 18 and have business cards, what can i say, im good at what I do... and i get paid lotso casho for it)

i counted so far... 6 teens. 3 in my group, two wtih MJ... woah buddy, i still talk to 43 people teens from my last cruise... and that is only the people i liked.

if anyone has a room around Midship 8 - just wanted to let you know that teens will gather there every night :) i like to have parties. we behave, but hey. just wanted to give ya a heads up. its right oustide my room....so tahts one room that i dont have to worry about.

ok i cant wait to get on the boat. i have my top 3 things to do already after i go to my room:
1) go to CG to check out the teen groupies
2) go to the Oceaneers Lab to visit my two old counselors from my last cruise... they moved on me. boo hoo. i had a friends father pass away while i was in da ocean last year and those two ladies from CG talked to me about it. I MISSED THE TEEN DANCE CRUISE LAST YEAR. SOO SAD FOR ME. If you have youngins who have Tracy or Vivi in the Lab... they are awesome! I owe them all my happiness on the last cruise. i coulda moped for days, but i was as chipper as can be expected wtihin a few hours.
3) go get my internet access account on board. i cant live without the internet. I need to be able to email my friends and talk to them back home.

ok thats enuf for tinite. c ya all soon! :)

Welcome, Nana Sue and group!

Matt, stick a lime green ribbon on your carryon--we'll look for you at the terminal. Once on board, you can wear it with a pin or tie it on a belt loop. I wear one tied to the lanyard I use to hold my KTTW card.

We're leaving on a 6:30 a.m. flight on Thursday. Wish I were packed!

Karen

Well, it was bound to happen. We fly out Friday morning and both of my kids have been sick with Stomach Flu symptoms since Saturday. Daughter (14) is running a fever and son (4) threw up all over my bedroom last night. The good news is they are home today and are both feeling a little better. My Little Man finally ate (cereal) but I am taking them both to the Dr. today to make sure everything is a-ok. It never fails, I should just expect this stuff to happen before a trip or a holiday weekend. Now if we can just get through the next two weeks healthy and with daughters orthodontic retainer still in her posession we'll be ahead of the game. Am taking all meds I can think of just in case. I'll be sporting my lime greens at the terminal. Look for a thirty something with long blonde (waist length) hair. Also, send some pixie dust for my sick babies. Can't wait to meet you all!
