Hmm, this thread made me curious, and I checked out TGM's web site.

People in this thread seem to be talking about it as an either/or question (ie, either TGM or UG). But are they complementary? Do some people use both, and find them both helpful in different ways?

I'm a satisfied UG reader, but always want more. Planning for WDW gives me stuff to obsess about between trips.

Lots of people use both. I'm one of them. Yes, I'm planning obsessive, too.

One of the really nice things about TGM is that because he is in the parks just about every day he updates his site regularly with new information - touring plans, EMH hour changes, etc.

I'm also a TGM/UG user. I used the UG exclusively in the first couple of days of my trip last June, had a mutiny on my hands, so I switched to TGM. The TGM tours ended up being a lot smoother for us-- we did the MK twice, once with each plan, and TGM had us backtracking less. I also like that TGM's site is updated often, and that Mike visits his boards... that real time responsiveness is great.

That said, you can't go wrong with having both sources. I find that the UG is great when I need a quick reference at home or at the parks since it's easy to flip through and get my answer. It also has great ride/restaurant/hotel reviews.
