Unlock the Spell Cosmetics

I heard about the new Beautifully Disney line of cosmetics on the Disneyland edition of the podcast. The theme of the new line is supposedly spell-bound princesses, but the princesses are Belle, Rapunzel and Tiana, none of whom were spell-bound, except, maybe, Tiana, who was sucked into Naveen's spell. Belle and Tiana broke the spells of their princes and Rapunzel healed Flynn with the last drop of her powers. I think whoever wrote the copy on that one must have been confused. I was wondering if the next line is going to be Spellbound, but the most famous spellbound princesses are Aurora and Ariel and they were featured in Wickedly Beautiful.

I guess I'm really saying that I am confused by the theme. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I totally agree with you, Amy. The copy doesn't reflect the title at all. Belle and Tiana definitely match the title of the line, for the reason you mentioned. Belle unlocked Adam and Tiana unlocked Naveen, as well as herself.

I think they just wanted to capitalize on Rapunzel's popularity and get a purple shade in the line.

I'm all for the purple and I love Rapunzel, so I'll be looking for it. This is a strange misstep for Disney, which is usually so detail oriented. My guess is that the author of the blog post wasn't paying attention and just locked onto the word spell.
