Unlinking a ticket?

Say you have a resort reservation with linked tickets, and FP+ made, and end up having to cancel it. What happens with those tickets? Are they automatically unlinked to each person, or must they be unlinked by WDW? Can they even be unlinked? Anyone gone through this?

They stay linked to the people you linked them to in MDE. If they are unused tickets, then you can reassign them to someone else in your list of friends and family. You can reassign them multiple times until the ticket is first used.

I have never tried to "unlink" a ticket from my account. I would assume that it would need to be done by their IT department, if it can be done at all. There is no function within MDE where the guest can do it.

Thank you. Yes, I mean unused tickets. I wonder if they can be unlinked by IT? Has anyone done that, or had a different experience?

Are they part of a package or did you buy the tickets separate? If they were part of a package and the package was cancelled, I would think the tickets would be automatically cancelled too since they refunded your money.

Boy, I'm not good at giving out all the info, am I? Tickets that were bought separately, a room only reservation. I haven't linked tickets yet because there is a chance this trip could end up being canceled. I don't want to have tickets linked for the four of us if they can't be unlinked.

Since your trip is 8 months away I wouldn't link them until you have to to book FP + ( 60 days is it ? ) Then if your trip has to be cancelled you won't have to figure out how to unlink them Hope you get to keep your trip !

I wasn't talking about the trip in my ticker. I'm considering a trip much sooner than that.
