I was hoping that you could make the other fastpasses by using your computer or phone. Not happy about standing at a kiosk in the park using up time to get a fastpass. Heard those lines were super long last month.
I think the kiosk lines will begin to decrease as time goes on and people use to app to pre-book their FP+. That being said, I'm sticking with my original plan of scheduling most of my FP+ for right after lunch (like 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm)

That's pretty much what we did this past Sept and it worked great. If you want, you can still hit rope drop and ride attractions with the shortish stand-by lines.... or you can actually sleep in if needed and still get there with plenty of time to use your FP.
I don't mind the kiosks, since this is good news overall. This restriction of 3 per day was bad, and at least there is a way to remove that barrier now...
DH and I were there end of Jan..one early day at Epcot...I must say the lines wrapped around the Kiosks..we were very surprised people didnt book/schedule these FP on line....
Well what ever the reason what a waste of valuable time.....
Well, I don't know that unlimited is the correct word either, but the old FP system wasn't unlimited either. I think this is taking the old system and making it better. You get to make your three at home, so right off the bat you have three in your pocket. When you've used them, you can get more, just like when you used the old ones you could get more. I think this will encourage more people to go for the early morning FP+ (which is OK with me, since I like to sleep in anyway) so they can have the extras later in the day. I always try to book my FP+ so the times are one right after the other, so they take the minimum amount of time possible out of the day.
I do think it will be better when they allow it through MDE, which I expect will happen eventually.
I was there last week and in every kiosk/CM with ipads area of the parks, there were probably 15-20 CMs standing around helping hardly anyone, because everyone has access to MDE's app now. My thoughts are, why would disney have invested so much money in such a large amount of ipads/kiosks/CM training if they were only going to be used for 3 months? They have to give them an exclusive purpose, otherwise that wasn't a wise use of disney funds, right? Additional fastpass plus's accessed by kiosk-only makes sense to me.
