Universe of Energy, one last time...

I think the Newseum cost us around $26 each. That's the one I can remember that had a significant cost. But if there's one, there's likely more.
The Newseum and the spy museum are for-profit attractions. There are well over a hundred that are owned ny the US and are totally free, as are all the monuments and parks. I've been 5 times, with a 6th trip in the works.

The original claim was that all the museums are free. Not the case, even though many are.

I'm one of those who reminisces about the old days. I was at the opening of Epcot back in the day. I'm all for progress, but I hate seeing the empty buildings standing empty. I know that the corporate sponsors are obsolete or have seen better days, but why not do new corporate sponsors. I would love to see what Apple or Google could do for tech or see some of the Biotech companies featured for science and medicine. Regardless, sad empty shells of yesterday are just sad empty shells of yesterday. Throwing some seminars and plastic plants in during Food and Wine Fest is just as sad. At least do a little makeover on the property. I used to love Epcot but it's #3 or #4 on list these days. If I don't get there, it's no big deal.

I so agree about Apple or Google. One of Walt's passions and what Epcot was about to begin with was new ideas. We still absolutely love Epcot, but there are so many sad spots that I know could be so much more than what they are. My son loved the Piggy Bank adventure and the Where's the Fire game. It was a tradition for us to do those things, and he enjoyed them. They were fun and entertaining, and things like that are now gone. At a time when there is so much movement with technology and scientific knowledge, why in the world there can't be new ideas piped into this park I have no idea. Have the imagineers just become lazy with using all the movie tie in's as an easy fix? I'm truly wondering, that is not a blanket statement of blame, I'm just wondering if Imagineering is what it used to be.

I feel dumb asking this, but could someone please enlighten me on what IP stands for? I know what you're referring to when using it, I just can't for the life of me figure out what it stands for!
