Universal's new ticket structure!

So happy I heard about the price increase and was just able to order the $99.99 tickets from Dreams Unlimited for our trip next year. We are looking at April or end of June.

This is probably the wrong place to ask but since we are talking tickets. I had the tickets sent to me via email to print out here at home. (My CC company is always sending us a new one for security purposes so I might not have the card I ordered them on when I get there next year.) It says that I will have to show a picture ID when we are at the gate to the parks or citywalk..Is that for just me as the person who ordered or does that go for my DH and two kids?

Let me put it this way.....I won free tickets during last year's Super Bowl and was asked to show a photo ID. My driver's license was 6 years old and I had hair almost shoulder length in the photo. 6 years later I have a shaved head and a beard. They didn't even look at the pic. They just made sure the address matched.

But anyway....only you have to show a photo ID....just make sure the address matches.:thumbsup2

I just purchased our tickets from Expedia for $99 even though we dont arrive in Orlando until Nov. Get them while they are still selling!

thanx for posting todd:thumbsup2

btw, i got my tix i ordered from AAA yesterday. I made sure to check the back & there was no expiry date listed (it did have a date stamp as to issue date on top).

I decided to grab a $99 7-day ticket from the Dreams Unlimited promo last night, as these tix seem to be drying up fast. No longer available at Undercover Tourist, for example, so far as I can tell. The ticket can also be my backup in case UO claims that the discounted Ticketmaster ticket I got last spring has expired, as I'm worried they might, even though it's never been used.:rolleyes1

We were over at the local Kroger today and there were still plenty of $89 7-day passes left. Apparently nobody outside of this forum knows what's going on.

I bought five of the $89 7 day tickets at Kroger a couple of nights ago after reading this. Thanks for the heads up!

I think that very few people know what the Universal prices were and thus will have no idea that the new ticket structure is actually anything new.

Uggg I cant buy them until next month and I need 5 :mad::headache::headache:

What state are you guys in? I have looked all over my area of NC and see no sign of these. I see $50 Universal gift cards but none of the tickets. Maybe I need to see if friends in other states can look for them for me.

Marsha, they are bright blue with a Spiderman on the front if you are trying to get friends and relatives to find them. Most of the other gift cards are white, so they do stand out. There are soooooooooo many cards though that you really need to look systematically. Good luck! And they do say $89.99 in quite large print on the front and the words "Unlimited 7 day"

Yeah, someone actually posted a picture for me. I have seen Universal gift cards for both $25 and $50, but none of the tickets and no empty spot with a Universal tag.

What state are you in? I have heard of people in SC finding them, but I don't know anyone in SC.

I've been thinking about buying one of the Kroger passes on the way down from a St. Louis stopover to see relatives. I figure Tennessee ought to be close enough; maybe a Nashville-area Kroger will have some. If not, I remember a Kroger in Dalton, GA, just off I-75. And as a last resort, I might check one of the Atlanta-area Costcos, as I recall some posts here to the effect that Costco stores in nearby states were selling Universal passes (3-month, or something like that) at very good prices.

Theres a Kroger right off 475 in Toledo. not sure if they have them, but I can look next time I'm that way. It's the airport highway exit.

ok, someone pat me on the back & tell me I did the right thing.

with all the new pricing , I may have panicked a little.

we had season passes last year, they expired in december , but I got one of the renewel cards for $99.
now I had not intended to renew these, since our planned trip was in oct & it still isn't writtne in stone. sooooooo I had thougth of waiting till much later to buy a 7 day pass ( lookes like that is not an idea much longer at those prices for new ones) & possibly a year pass that will let me get a discount on hotel there ,, if it gave a better rate than AAA ( which I do not have either).
had thought th 7 day tix would be a better bet since I could use them anytime, but the pass would be up this december.
now,, thought on that is.. what *IF* we could go more than one time this year ( unlikely,, but who knows ) so the yearly pass would be better.
now I was surprised I was able to get the $99 rate renewel even though the passes ended 40 days ago. & I was talked into getting ONE preferred one for $179 ,, which gives hotel discount & free parking which she rightly pointed out you can easily make that up in parking fees.
although::::::: to GET the free parking you have to go through the gates ONE time. so you choose paying parking fee,,,,, or spending 45 min round trip to get dropped off & into park & back again.. pretty stupid if you ask me!
now , as I asked _ someone ...tell me I did the right thing spending $300. tix for this year, that may not be a 100% trip......

( the NEW rates now for yearly passes are outrageous!!)
