Universal: Worth the bus trip from DLR?

I think you are missing the point..............this thread is talking about Universal Studios in Hollywood, California. Not, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. It is completely different. The OP is visiting Disneyland in California and wants information about Universal Studios in Hollywood.

Oops, Sorry about that! Can't help you on the California side then, I've heard that the FL Universal is better, but that is just hearsay.

Forgive me, Spiderman is in IOA! If I were you, I parkhop and do both parks, you've just GOT to do Spiderman!!! :thumbsup2
I don't do rollercoasters either, but I still can do The mummy, it's another not to miss ride!

You're still confused. This is a Disneyland forum. No one is talking about taking a day trip to Orlando, Florida from Anaheim, California.

I think they get the point now. And I must agree...Universal in FL is MUCH better than hollywood

OP do you have young children? There isn't a whole lot for little kids to do there and it might be better to wait until they are older. If not then I say go. At least once. I haven't been for some time as I feel it has gone down hill in the last ten years but it is still an experience that everyone should try. Check out their website and see if it looks like there are enough things for you and your family to enjoy,

Does anyone know if you take the Grayline tour to Universal...is there a way to get the "Front of the Line" pass with a tour?

I dunno... You can call and ask. I know other companies sell "Front of the line" passes. You can probably purchase the Front of the Line pass from that other company and see if Gray Line can hook you up with transportation.

We thought of that, but we were wanting to do the Universal PLUS Tour which included the Hollywood tour afterwards...so not sure how to do that and get the Front of the Line pass. ??

OOH I get what your saying... yeah you really would LOVE the Hollywood after Universal tour. Its so worth the money. Maybe if you got a hold of Universal studios they could tell you the best way to go about it. Because they are the ones that Gray Line has to go through to arrange entrance times and such. They would probably have more info for you then Gray Line itself. Perhaps if you purchased your tickets through Gray Line for the normal park ticket and hollywood tour, then maybe once at Universal you can go to guest relations or the ticket booth and see if you can get upgraded.

Honestly if you went to the Southern California parks section on Disboards you can always ask what other people think of the front of the line and if it was even worth it. Maybe someone there has an idea or tips for you as well.
