Hello all we are visiting universal for the very first time staying at royal pacific resort. I have four kids ages 13-12-5&2 is there anything for the younger kids to do as far as rides?

I have a just turned 6 year old and a two year old and there was plenty for them to do. :) the Dr. Seuss and comic cartoon lands were especially fun for my younger ones! :)

Yes - Over at IOA there is a Dr. Seuss themed area they will love. In the Jurassic Park area there is a Discovery Center with a lot of cute hands on activities including a dino hatching area. The comic section is well themed as well.

At the Studios there is ET, an animal actors performance, Barney and a Curious George water themed area. Plus lot of characters to meet.

We made the mistake of riding Jurassic park with our almost 5 year old....yea...that was not a good idea...it was dark and scary...and there is a huge drop at the end....Bad parenting on our part....I felt horrible I didn't see that.

Then we road the Popeye ride...to raft boats...WOW that was rough....way rougher then any other we were on. SO beware.

But yes...there was plenty there he loved....Dr suess area was a huge hit.

He hated the simpsons ride though too....I saw a lot of people saying that their kids loved it...but mine did not. It was a simulator which we have done....but...yep..hated it.

The theme through the parks is awesome though and he loved seeing things he recognized from movies and tv. Oddly enough...through the simpson's area was his favorite! LOL!!

Oh and the little play parks in the Studios...Curious George, and woody wood pecker are SOAK ZONES!! So much fun...but make sure you have extra clothes!!

I guess I was sucked into the Disney FP+ terror and just didn't research Universal as much as I should have...but it was a lot of fun there!

I am here now and my personal opinion is I would never come here with a small child. There are so many things that they couldn't do or that would scare them it really would be bypassing most of the park. Our son is 7 but is skittish. Every ride he either sat out or he was scared. Not much fun. Once again this is only my opinion, but we were beyond disappointed.

I have 2 kids, age 4 and 11 both girls :) They both been going to Universal since before Birth. They always seem to have tons of fun but each kid is different. My youngest is very tall and by 2 she was tall enough to go on the kiddie coasters, etc. She LOVED THEM, last year at 3 we took her on Transformers and she wanted to ride it again and again but she freaked out on Spiderman.

My 11 year old can do everything now and her favorite is RRR, but again each kid is different. We took my brother's GF son one year and he freaked out so bad on Jaws would not go near anything after that the rest of the week.

But there are the play areas at each of the parks, Suess has lots to do and see as well as over in Universal side you have the water soak areas that are tons of fun for the kids and I have a hard time dragging them out of there.
