Universal with ecv

Anyone have experience in Universal with an ecv? My husband will be using one in Feb. WE are staying at the HRH.
I just want to know if it is as easy to get around the entire property as it is at WDW. Is all accessible? transportation,hotels, etc. He can tranfer to rides.

I would say it is very easy I seem to remeber seeing people getting around on them in june with no problem at all and when we went in 2005 with father-in-law and mother-in-law they were both in wheel chairs and had no problem the only time we had trouble was when father-in-law had to transfer to rides since he had prosetic legs but he still managed fine and had a great time.

I went in 2004 with the whole family (we were 8) and 2 of us had ECV. We stayed at RPH and it was wonderful. You don't really need transportation, we took the walkways to the parks and almost always beat everyone else in because they had to wait for the boats. We never did try to get the ECV on the boat so I don't know how well that would work but I'm sure it will. I've stayed at the HRH also but I didn't have an ECV but I know that that walkway is even closer than the RPH so you should have no problem. I walk the HRH in 5 minutes at a leisure pace so with the ECV it should be no problem at all. We loved both parks and Citywalk, it was a wonderful trip. You'll have a great time, every place we went was "accessible" to the ECVs so you should have no problem. HTH! Have a great time!

The queue lines may not be able to accomodate the ECV, but there is usually a standard wheelchair at the front of the attractions for you to transfer to. The queue lines are all wheelchair accesible, just not ECV.
